Ive done short runs with my limited hybrid with 6000 pounds behind me (with trailer brakes). For a mid size truck, i was very impressed.
With a proper weigh dist hitch it feels safe and confident but not alot of pep going uphill.
Not a setup i would ideally use on a regular basis but the...
My tires are 1" larger than stock.
Radar displays and GPS both show 3% lower than the speedo - opposite what it should with larger tires.
I didnt have the stock tires on long enough to notice any discrepancy. The initial calibration must have been even worse.
I dont like that my warranty is 3%...
I find my Timbrens to be a much better bump stop than what come stock but it cant be compared to a good aftermarket spring/shock setup. Timbrens are good enough for me.
The weight distribution hitch vastly improves trailer handling and safety.
If i towed more often i might consider air bags...
Actually, I did mean to say acoustic - but i was only speculating that its stronger.
FWIW - AI thinks it is :
Yes, acoustic glass windshields are generally considered stronger than standard windshields. The additional PVB (Polyvinyl Butyral) layer used in acoustic glass provides extra...
My windshield has taken a few rocks that had me concerned but no chips or cracks found. Maybe the acoustic glass on my limited can take the rocks better.
I wonder what an acoustic upgrade would cost you guys.
I reported 3 posts ago that mine improved with the update. That was short-lived.
Now its flaky again. At least give me a button on the main screen that reconnects it so i dont have to dive 4 menus levels down.
There's a tow/haul mode but for a light trailer like that i wouldn't bother - it'll shift more aggressively and use less hybrid.
It doesnt hurt to try but i dont like it with light trailers.
If the DC module is not working as expected, maybe they had to use less aggressive hybrid algorithms to save DC juice (and burn more gas).
Im just speculating but it smells like that kind of pile.
I think the alternator in the 2025s is a workaround for a design flaw in the DC power module. It's not working as intended and its too expensive to fix - or they cant get it fixed quick enough to keep the assembly line running.
I like my Falken AT4Ws.
Mine are 265/70R18 SL rated - i don't recall the weight but they're reasonable compare to other tires that size.
I dont need E rated on this truck and prefer to keep dimensions and weight not too far from how the truck was designed.
It's a step backwards to add the alternator. Hard to imagine what has the engineers baffled enough to go that route.
Maybe they wanted to tweak the hybrid system to keep more juice in the battery when parked but that would have reduced their mpg below govt standards.
Sloppy engineering and...
I prefer to fuse my winch directly to the battery and the custom fuse box thru the circuit breaker. The winch control is still powered thru the fuse box as the amperage is low.
That way the circuit breaker isolates the lower amp stuff (lower amp circuit breaker) and the heaviest user (winch) is...
Thanks.
When i pour that orange looking stuff from the container to the shot glass it looks pink. Thats the same coolant in the second pic looking orange and pink.
I'm still reluctant to pour that into my truck.
