lol.. You can't remove orange peel with a pad and machine. It has to be wet or dry sanded, then the sanding marks have to be removed with a rotary machine and a wool wheel (usually). These processes remove material (paint and clear coat) to flatten the paint/clearcoat. The paint is too thin...

A good detailer will start with measuring paint thickness. Based on what others have reported, they will not wet sand one of these trucks. The paint is too thin.

Great answer. I honestly didn't know if there was an issue with the prop rods on these. I've never owned a toyota truck so this was helpful.

Just curious...what's wrong with the tried and true prop rod? It'll never lose pressure, leak or try to spring open at 80 mph on a hot day.

That's what I've chosen to do. There is no advantage to buying now. Pricing will be better as will availability. Let's hope they also fix some of the suspension, transmission, electronics and drivetrain issues as well.

Horse stall mats are an excellent option for this purpose. Custom fit and cheap. They are nearly indestructible, too.

I have to wonder if aftermarket headrests are available or if the OEM can be modified to include this? That's a mod I'd be happy to pay for (and one that would actually be useful)

For what these trucks cost, the headrests should be 5-6 position, ratcheting adjustable. Honestly, all cars should have this system to allow us to set them where they're comfortable for us.
