To each their own. I am the opposite, on 2nd gen/ 3rd gen (really a 2.5 gen) - I never liked the awkward seating position, the thirsty V6 that hunts for gears in a transmission that doesnāt know what gear to be in a lot of the time. Lots of rev and gas guzzling show for little go. I never...
Hey it could be a fun project, trying to take it apart and fabricate a 2.4L turbo. Probably nothing under that engine cover,
Mine donāt have a sunroof so Iād have to plug it and paint but lots of other things to spend time on instead ?. I have two Solar Octane Off Roads coming. One for a 2...
On principle I wonāt pay for a subscription so when mines up itās done. Donāt use it much anyway. At home my truck is in a garage at night so itās not cold in winter. When out I can warm it up within a short drive taking it easy the first few minutes, idling it is the worst way to warm it up...
I donāt think all the trucks have this issue. My truckās went off a couple times this winter, but in both cases went away on its own.
In one case I added some air and it was fine, in another I just let the temperature come up and it went away.
Worked normal in both cases. I keep my tire...
Toyota ??! Literally the only thing that has me prematurely thinking about my ānextā truck.
I can live with the cheap plastic interior that easily scratches, cheap paint finish and big turning circle for a small truck. All part and parcel of a Toyota, and I like my truck but the trailer brake...
@Dongar I have the Dongar pro in my 2024 TRD Off Road. Camera is the Nextbase 422gw. In parking mode when I come back to my truck often the dome lights are on. How can I fix this? I attached pic of the pro wired in my truck.
I wonder if it has been an issue as much as it was portrayed. It may have been designed to break in extreme cases. I have not been extreme off road in mine but have not heard of it being an issue around here.
@TexasBlueCrush here are a couple pics of the wider mud flaps. The truck arrived with them installed (before the pre-trip). So I do not have part number, but do a search on the forum for Canadian mud flaps - I remember seeing a comparison some where.
Hi Texas Blue Crush,
The skid plate part number is PTR60-35240 I believe. (Will double check at home when I see the invoice). Here is a link: https://autoparts.toyota.com/products/product/front-skid-plate-ptr6035240
You can get at your dealer Iād think. Also a couple pics of it on my truck...
I really considered blue as well. No white, grey or black for me, let the masses have them.
I did change out the cheap skid plate for a TRD aluminum one (was pricey at Toyota), I think from the Pro.
Also the Canadian stock mud flaps are wider, no issue with them. Paint quality is cheap.
@Blue Crush Taco , Iām in total agreement with all your points. Iāve had my SO Off Road for almost 6 months and 10,000 km.
Iāll add two more that would make it better to the list:
Mine is a 6ā bed and the turning circle seems worse than my old 1998 K1500 Silverado.
The lack of a trailer brake...
Thinking of getting a Nextbase dash cam with the Dongar pro. Anyone have experience with one, or issues with Nextbaae I should be aware off?
Thank you in advance.
