Iām on a trip w/o my truck rn but I think you need to go into the settings on the compressor display and set the power ports to āautoā. I think* ā¦.i do recall having a similar issue yourās
I wouldāve bought a Pro or OR hybrid if they came in a LB. Decided to go TH and part out a couple things. Although I like the idea of overlanding my reality is quicker adventures, shorter durations (big dogs at home). Primitive campsites w/bathrooms. The TH has all these adventure goodies but...
I did a 100% goose gear rear delete back in September and yea their instructions need updating, I was missing hardware and keys but I was literally the 2nd customer hybrid gen 4 install so I gave these guys some leeway as they expedited my order so I could pickup passing through the desertā¦...
I have a quick disconnect option for my GFC lights, I can run them from 4 sources: the 12V power port (which is essentially accessory mode or (120v inverter mode) on the TH bed; also through the aux port 1 in the rear which shares a Baja Designs rear hitch pod light (aka accessory mode and/or...
Yep - accessory mode allows you to run the 12V ports without running the 120V inverter. So the mapping is more nuanced & thorough than ppreviously thought. One additional lesson learned was an attempt to run āaccessory modeā for extended periods until main engine battery cut off (with...
I think thatās cool your truck defies physics, can load a 500-600# camper in the rear (not including gear) and only see a 2-3mpg hit off manufacturerās top print.
Not buying it. Those Tunes are heavy as f, wider than a spruce goose. Drive a snailās pace but you still need to reef on the turbo in...
Youāre getting 20mpg WITH a Tuneā¦..?
would love to see a pic of the MPGs on cluster.
I run a GFC with zero glass on a hybrid TH, lighter camper and better aero than the Tune. And I donāt clear 18. Your story better be greatā¦
Fob works great for me but it needs to be relative* line-of-sight ~20-30' limit. Signals won't go through concrete but around & through most everything else I've found. For that reason, I faraday bag my fob in the house.
I use the app for a true remote start. default defroster/heat settings...
...I mean...if you're in 4HI on highways, reduced speeds are a no brainer, liken it to 'safety nomenclature'.Assuming the engineering on these new trucks is good enough to run 4HI at whatever speed. It makes sense. I drove my TH 4HI across flat high alpine valley dry roads topping out at ~70mph...
Never had a clunk on engage or disengage. I drove 80mi 4HI through white knuckle driving my last storm chase, forgot I was in 4HI for 30mi of it. Super smooth.
I'd monitor it for sure.
6' Trailhunter, great workhorse, great tax write off, awesome adventure vehicle. Gen 4s are used at DIA airport security, seeing a lot of businesses using them.
IDK, the hate is basically like this: a lot of these gen 2 & 3 bros already dumped a ton of mods into theirs, still making payments...
2500mi on my TH so far, drove it 850mi day #2 (out of state buyer). First week MPG was 19.5, nearly all highway w/massive net elevation gains through the Rockies.
Some takeaways:
If you use generator mode, don't bother looking at your MPGs. I use it a lot, can tell you firsthand when it comes...
