Ha! Carguy…we must be neighbors. Are you at Lebanon? Here is my setup on the back of my Bean. I don’t have my bike on my current trip. I definitely will be installing air bags when I get back.
I have to say I have absolutely no complaints outside of the sag with how this Tacoma performs. It tows really well. The tow/haul mode works well along with the brake controller. The engine and transmission also work really well. Once I solve the sag issue the truck will be dialed in and perfect...
Yes! My truck bed has items in there too. So, between that weight and the tongue weight there is a lot of sag and bottoming out on my trip. I knew there would be some due to the nature of the cool springs, but not this much.
Does it allow for full functionality of the suspension system? Is it easy to install or should I have a dealer install them? Would upgrading the shocks to another brand help too?
Thanks for your input. Much appreciated!
I would rather go with the air bags due to my articulating hitch…see pic. What air bags due you recommend? I was looking at the system from rough country.
Mine has a 10 year warranty. No, you never remove it unless you want something different. I treat mine with regular car washing and wax just like you would with the paint on your car. I’ve never had yellowing since the shop I use only applies the best 3M product. Just make sure you use a quality...
Yes, I had my truck in my installers shop the day after I bought it. I always do full front coverage including side mirrors and front lights. It definitely eliminates the rock chips.
I have the retrax cover. My concern if I were you would be denting the canister. Not sure it would affect the function, but I guess I wouldn’t chance it.
Yes. Running the Miller MCX skid and catalytic covers. Excellent craftsmanship and heavy duty. The skid has two access panels for plug and filter. Great price too!
I also have their bed stiffeners. Great no drill product.
Just installed a Femco on my TRD OF. Install was a breeze and can’t wait to try it out when I change the oil again. What a disaster when I took out the factory drain plug and it accidentally fell into the siphon I was using to funnel the oil into the pan to prevent a spill. About 6 quarts of oil...
I hate to tell you this, but that is a crap job. Exactly why I installed mine. Mine never leaked and held up to all conditions. Inexcusable in my opinion, especially what they charge for them.
To those who are purchasing one of these. Please do yourself a favor and save some money by installing...
Pure sine wave inverters are more capable of producing cleaner, smoother, quieter, and more reliable electricity to operate appliances and electronics without interference. Plus it provides better protection for sensitive and expensive electronics.
It’s not just Toyota. I had the same issue in my Ford Ranger not using pure sine wave technology. I really don’t understand these manufacturers cutting corners where they should not. Another case in point where they focus on profitability instead of what the consumer wants.
