Exact same thing with my 1UP SD Rack and Alu Cab Contour. Are you sure in saying it will smash? Trying to figure out the right distance to mount, vs buying a swing out. I may just slit a tennis ball for now and slide it over the bar end and hope its OK.

Thanks - poor use of term on my end. Its the hitch "lock" I am referring to that stops the rack from being removed.

This looks great. How's the ride? I see what you're saying with the rake. I will have a tent on in the summer so may have to reconsider if I do the 1" or 2". I wouldn't describe the rear springs as soft on my hybrid so I'm wondering if its potentially a different spring for the battery weight.
