Question, when I fold mine all the way back (resting on the window) the "arms" are off by a few millimeters. If i latch both arms into place, there is a gap between the window and tonneau cover's "foam bumps". Essentially the arms are holding the cover in place from going forwards and backwards...
Installed OEM bed extender [Part# PT392-35240]. Hope this will help others looking to do the same.
First, as usual with OEM Toyota parts, it will NOT come with instructions, if you're lucky, maybe a tech. will print you out one. I've attached a PDF copy here. Following the instructions [PDF...
McFly , because, well ya know ..... [of course mine isn't black to play the part, but let's be honest..some of us got into the Toyota Pickup because of Back to the Future ].
I'd actually be curious how the 16" OEM TRD Beadlock wheels would look on the 4th gen.
EDIT: doesn't look like...
I think they have, I had asked one other person on this post and one user on Facebook's tacoma 4g page they all said no modifcations needed to install the Suma's. I just really wish they didn't have their logo on there which is the only reason I haven't purchased it yet. I'm waiting for another...
Figured i'd post here instead of creating a new thread. I know there are better DashCAM options out there, but I've had FITCAMX on many of my previous cars without any issues and love the OEM look of it [even more OEM than Toyota's OEM Dash].
Anyway, FITCAMX also has a parking mode cable...
Unlike the mirror glass itself and outside cover, which can be purchased separately, unfortunately that bottom plastic area is part of the entire Mirror Assembly..so you'll need to buy that entire peice.
Looks like yours is without the surround view and without integrated mirror turn signal...
Straight as an arrow for me....though I should add, my allignment was slightly off after 6 months [I only noticed it visually]. It wouldn't hurt to get that checked. Remember, as long as you're within 12 months or 12,000miles, you get 1 free alignment and wheel balancing if it's out of spec.
Gah, glad i'm not the only one, more of a creaking noise than a squeak. I thought the seats were telling me to loose a couple of pounds haha. I've gotten use to it, but i've never had such noisy seats before.
I have a few chips already, a bit too late for PPF I guess. But since adding RC HD2 Running Boards, haven't heard rocks hitting it nor any new chips. I've ordered some micro ARK guards just in case though.
I just installed mine with the electric lift tailgate. When you lock the straps in place, it prevents from the the tailgate to go up. Instead, when you push the "open\close" tailgate button, it releases the latch so you can remove them.
I just did this for dashcam install. There are four red clips. Initially was giving slow and even pressured but didnt budge.
What I did was Start from the front/closest to windshield, with both hands, give it a good yank down, then again at the rear. It literally sounds like it's breaking but...

When I had my tints done, i had the shop meter all windows before installing the film, then meter them afterwards.
VLT% of glass before install + VLT% of film itself = VLT% after tint installed [all values have a +/- 3% error of margin]
Windshield [3M Crystalline 60]: 71% + 60% = 42.6%

This is the first time I have ever purchased warranty. With the exception of my old Frontier with its transmission and galary gasket issues past 140k, my other cars [Mazda, Honda, even older BMW] all made it past 150k miles without [major] issues.
But as others have stated, this Tacoma has so...
10 months and 8k miles in and weirdly, I got more on my hood and even windshield glass than the bumper...good thing hood is up high and don't notice it.
My "fun" cars have always had PPF full front (mainly have it due to track use), but a large enough pebble from a highway can still go through...
