  1. Door Panel Drain Plugs Problematic

This thread on the same topic has a Corolla TSB that is supposed to be the same for the Taco. https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/door-drain-hole-plugs-why.12739/
  2. Limited trim headlights installed on TRD Offroad Premium

Looks good. Might consider doing this myself as well. Does the leveling feature still work after the swap?
  3. TRD Offroad OEM center pipe vs "TRD center pipe"

Not really looking, just curious if this TRD trail pipe is actually a hi-flow design and how it may affect sound with the axle dump versus the chrome/black tip performance exhaust. Definitely more interested if there is a weight savings and flow improvement.
  4. TRD Offroad OEM center pipe vs "TRD center pipe"

Are there any differences in weight or piping I.D.? The TRD trail pipe appears to be more of a hi-flow design. Also interesting that the dealer part sites list the black or chrome tip exhaust as a requirement, but no mention of the TH axle dump. Curious to hear the sound effect.
  5. Screen protector for 14inch multi-media display...recommendations?

I've had good luck with using the cell and watch protectors from ScreenShield, so I installed their universal 14" protector. It is a 16:9 ratio though, so it does not completely cover the screen edge to edge, but it does protect the usable touch area.
  6. Trailhunter Rock Rails for jacking/actual rock sliding?

I installed the TH rock sliders on my OR as well. There was a small "caution" card that came in the box that described where to and where not to jack on the sliders. I can't seem to find it right now, but if I remember correctly, the jack had to be used at the slider mount points and was not to...
  7. Meso Custom Lights in stock

The service manual references two Door Wire part IDs, 82152 (Driver front door) and 82151 (Passenger front door). From that, it looks like there are three harnesses based on US options/trim levels. Listings below are shown on PARTSOUQ.com. Unfortunately, the costs of the harnesses easily surpass...
  8. Meso Custom Lights in stock

I'd be curious if the harness leads are there but just taped up. I looked through the service manual for troubleshooting and it only talks to checking the switch circuit and light assembly replacement. No mention of a secondary harness.
  9. Good Windshield Sunshade recommendations?

I too picked up the Weather Tech full set. The fit is perfect. Storage of the screen is not ideal, but I'll take the improved fit & function over form.
  10. Automatic Braking: most annoying “feature” ever. How to disable it?

All of the customizable driver assist features are accessed via the steering wheel meter controls and are under settings in the multi-information display. I turned off the PDA as well due to the aggressive braking in certain traffic situations. No special tools or dealer tools are required.
  11. Meso Custom Lights in stock

Did you happen to install the courtesy lights as well? After reading the other responses, I also only have two courtesy door lights and they appear to be a more narrow profile. The installed image on the ME-SO site must be from a different gen Taco. I suspect several extra pairs will end up...
  12. Where is the antenna for the remote unlock/key fob? (NOT the "smart key")

From the service manual, Keyless entry (Smart Key System) and Digital Key system call out the same antenna locations. The rear bumper one (if equipped) is on the back side of the bumper.
  13. Meso Custom Lights in stock

I managed to pick up all but the map lights. They were showing sold out already. ME-SO actually sent me an email notification that the dome and door lights were back in stock. Hopefully the map light notification comes through on the next restock.
  14. Where is the antenna for the remote unlock/key fob? (NOT the "smart key")

It depends on the model, but the Service Manual shows the antennas to be in the front door handles for all trucks, double cab adds additional antennas to the front and back of the center console and if equipped with the power tailgate system there is an antenna behind the rear fender.
  15. Superficial comparison look at Tacoma vs 4Runner TRD Pro (materials, build quality, feel, paint)

I believe the comparison is the 4th and 6th gen vehicles respectively. I read the post as being a 2025 Tacoma TRD Pro and a 2025 4Runner TRD Pro, but I could be mistaken.
  16. My i-Force Max has an.... Alternator???

I'll be looking at going to an Optima, when the time eventually comes to do so, but I was looking at using the Yellowtop DH6 as the replacement. The Optima site shows the DH7 for both hybrid and non-hybrid models, but the dimensions for the DH6 are more similar to the 380LN3. I think the DH7 may...
  17. What did you drive before your Tacoma?

    Oddly enough, that's the plan...
  18. 12v battery (hybrid) runs low after sitting for a week

The dash gauge is displaying the lower 3 segments at 12.9v, like what was shown previously. Visually there are no segment lines, but the gauge will move in segmented increments. They appear to be displayed in 1v increments (i.e. 12.0-12.9, 13.0-13.9 for each segment). Not sure of the...
  19. 12v battery (hybrid) runs low after sitting for a week

Following up on my previous post observations. Did some more driving around with the OBD dongle active. It appears the 12v charging system kicks in as needed. I noticed it seems to check/charge after starting up the Tacoma and will run for a short period, again reading about half on the voltage...
  20. Toyota accessory survey

To me the fender flares look less like camo and more like forged carbon fiber, albeit faux fiber. My survey also mentioned rear bumper protectors that mount to the bottom of the rear bumper corners.
