I have this problem and the dealership ordered a new "window runner" for me last week. I'll get it installed tomorrow, but we'll see if that actually helps. Another poster on here had the same noise, got a new runner and the noise improved marginally. I guess I'll find out more tomorrow if it...
I have a window run on order as well after I took my truck in for a service yesterday. They'll replace the run next tuesday, but assuming that doesnt fix it, have you come up with a solution? Perhaps the added felt trick works?
Like the title says, I have a fairly pronounced "squeak" in the pillar area of the right rear cab. Its far louder when it's cold (sub -15C) and when I have someone sitting in that seat. If you've ever heard metal rubbing on metal, that's the sound. I really don't think its a rubber thing.
My...
Nicely done. I did a simple and fairly cheap Duplicolor Caliper Paint job (came in a can) on my car years ago. It turned out great, stayed without chipping or stains and it cleaned up easily with the wand wash. I put it on with a few brushes with the calipers still on the car and it had some...
I am genuinely impressed with the design. The gussets are super strong, the welding is top-notch, and the bolts install flush/recessed so they aren't going to get caught on anything. I bought a set (I think the day they were released?) and they went on easily in a few minutes.
These guys are...
Nice unit. Not cheap, but I guess it is a good sized chunk of milled aluminum. The T-slots are a nice feature. It looks like the 8" version has threaded holes as well. Is that correct? If so, are they of a particular standard bolt pattern?
Yeah, sorry. TexasBlueCrush was uncertain of where I got that speed info.
As for the Automatic....I don't know for sure. It should shift up into 3rd at some point to give you more speed. Here's some info I found in the owners manual, but I can't find anything that specifically limits you to...
Have you got a manual or automatic? I'm sure its similar in the 8A, but in the manual you can still get some pretty substantial speed out of 4Lo.
Max speeds in each gear - 6M
1st - 8mph
2 - 17
3 -29
4 - 42
5 - 55
6 - 67
I've been reading more into the DOT 3 vs 4 vs 5.1. It would seem that for lower water absorption, DOT 3 is the best of these three compatible types. 5.1 can have a lower viscosity in cold temps but absorbs water like DOT4, albeit at a slower rate. Going to a 5.1 might mean changing the fluid...
In a bit of a deep freeze at the moment (-28C), but I noticed a big change at about -15C and the clutch gets heavy and slow on a cold startup. I don't recall this big of a change in my previous manual vehicles. Might be the fact that I'm in a new vehicle rather than one with lots of mileage.
It...
Sorry, this might be a dumb question, but in what ways are the Tacoma lights "smart"? They do have auto-high beams and a razor sharp cut off on the top side of the low beam, but they don't reactively change their output pattern like Audi or Mercedes do. Is the auto high beam and highly defined...
I feel you on the Sport suspension. I have one and it can be a little on the rough side around town, but with the '24 changing the rear leafs out for springs makes a HUGE difference over any other truck I've driven, and I used to get 1 or 2 truck rentals a month for remote field work driving...
Just wondering about people's opinion on this, but I would like to cut as little as possible to mount an accessory. If I (or a future owner - not that I have plans to sell in the next 20 years..) want to go back to stock, or change that accessory later on, I'd really like to have a clean removal...
Ok Expedition - Kelowna
-aluminum Skid plates and front support bars for TRD Sport.
I bought a set and I’m very happy with them. Very well built and lots of gussets/renforcement. They are also currently developing gas tank plates and possibly more.
