  1. Heritage Grill Camera Swap - Observations

@emerica243 Saw your DM but figured I'd reply here - I don't really have much experience with the Rave bracket, but as others have stated, I'm fairly certain you're supposed to leave it as Type 1 as Rave isn't expecting people to flash their ECUs, and they explicitly mention leaving the tab...
  2. Anyone brave enough to tow a camper yet? I was.

Chicago to Moab & back last year. Similar results to others, maybe about 12-13MPG. So basically about 200 miles of range per fill. Trailer is around 4000#. No problems up and down the Rockies either. Only scare was slightly elevated trans temps at one point during stop-and-go traffic on I70 up...
  3. weBoost Drive Reach Cell Signal Booster

Incredibly well. And now that they have a super cheap plan based on usage only, it's super worth it.
  4. WCS (Wireless Camera System) for 4G Tacoma

Antennas would still be needed. Not sure about whether associated wiring harness is already in the truck as well. Curious as to where you found the telematics box (and associated full part number)? I was having a rough time finding it.
  5. New Tires & Wheels on My Limited: 18" American Outlaw + Cooper Discoverer Road + Trail AT Tires

In my situation, most of the TRD premium trims were loaded to the brim with dealer add-ons and port-installed accessories. On top of that, my local dealers were barely providing a discount on those trims at the time of my purchase (April 2024). However, one dealer was sitting on a Limited since...
  6. Heritage Grill Camera Swap - Observations

Once you adjust and save it, you need to reprogram the circumference monitoring system again to readjust it.
  7. Heretic 20" LED Light Bar install on TRD Pro Grill

I made a small 3D printed plug for someone else that also didn't have a front facing camera. I could dig it up and share the file here. It just press fits in to cover the hole. As far as the brackets, I only made two sets to meet the order minimum for powder coating. My recommendation that...
  8. 2025 Tacoma Allocations Appear on Toyota Website

Yeah, just announced at 25%, for both Mexico and Canada. Curious to see how this pans out. Sort of have a gut feeling that pickups will be exempted. But not so sure of other vehicles. If it is across the board, wonder who's gonna want to shell out 80k+ for a Tacoma or 100k+ on a 3/4 RAM.
  9. Moab Package discovered

Find it kind of odd they include an exhaust tip.... Axle dump would make a lot more sense for a "Moab Package". My exhaust tip is now a special edition oval one, compliments of Moab, hah.
  10. Fuel Economy Change With PDA?

I would imagine on hybrids it's probably more useful as the slow application of the brakes mostly recharges the battery via regenerative braking. I really like the feature on our PHEV NX. But I can see why it could negatively affect MPG on non-hybrid models.
  11. TSB: 2024 Tacoma Transmission Failures Issue & Replacement (9/9/24). Updated w/ VIN Lookup Tool

I think our trucks do come with a trans cooler, albeit it's a coolant-to-fluid transfer block. It's actually more for getting the trans up to temp, rather than cooling it down, but can in theory provide some cooling if trans temps exceed coolant temps. Nonetheless, I did see there were some...
  12. TSB: 2024 Tacoma Transmission Failures Issue & Replacement (9/9/24). Updated w/ VIN Lookup Tool

Negative, nothing as of yet ... knock on wood. I'm also in the TSB range. The trailer's in storage for the winter now, the only thing that was a bit nerve-racking were the trans temps in stop-and-go traffic up a steep grade.
  13. Tacoma Limited : Blackout Progress

Lower bumper trim doesn't have any cameras or affect the camera system at all. The camera is in the grille itself.
  14. WCS (Wireless Camera System) for 4G Tacoma

Negative - some of the parts were backordered. I think at this point we just wait for guidance from Toyota. There may be some hope, and it's possible that Toyota hasn't bothered to release details due to the parts not even being fully available. I saw that post as well, but I have yet to find...
  15. weBoost Drive Reach Cell Signal Booster

Nope, just bought it myself, along with the Starlink-branded rack mounting kit. It's very easy to DIY. Removing it is super easy too, as it's just a thumbscrew. As long as you've got some partial opening of the sky it'll work pretty well, but in denser areas it may occasionally get choppy as...
  16. weBoost Drive Reach Cell Signal Booster

I thought about a cell booster, but decided to do a 12V Starlink Mini system instead, mounted to my roof rack. Thus far, it's worked exceptionally well - albeit a bit of a higher cost, but a lot more flexibility in remote areas or on long road trips.
  17. Tacoma Limited : Blackout Progress

-30 maybe on previous gens but I don't think I've seen anyone with that aggressive of an offset on a 4G. +32 sits maybe just about flush for me with 265 section tires but keep in mind I only have 8" wheels. If you ran a +25 on an 8.5J it would stick out another half an inch or so compared to...
  18. Tacoma Limited : Blackout Progress

Yeah, they'll definitely fit. I wouldn't go past +25 unless you're looking for intentional poke.
  19. OK, time to share my Solar Octane TACO (Drone Pilot Support Truck) -- Photos!

Nice truck! Shout out to the 107 gang. I've got a buddy that's also in the UAS line of work. It's gotta be a ton of fun flying those around.
