Niceeeee!! Looks great. Congrats :)
quick question for ya since you have the dclb: is your factory payload 1245 like it says in the manual that’s posted online? Thx
this is my planned interval as well. For work I drive all over the place all day, from vendor to vendor , which means a lot of short trips on surface street and in city traffic… often with a heavily laden vehicle. (my current record is 1000 miles in a week and I do not want to ever hit that...
Hey folks ~ can anyone who has the OEM bedliner tell me how much that cuts into the payload from the factory? I’m assuming if it comes from the factory, there would be a revision sticker next to the payload numbers?
Trying to see if it’s a few pounds or negligible in its difference. I think...
I think part of the problem is patents from other manufactures (GM in particular) make designing and selling that style of bumper very difficult. I can’t remember where I heard patents and legal clearance were a part of this but I’ll try to find that if I can.
part of me wonders if that’s why...
I test drove one recently (not an MT though) and the parking break auto engaging was so weird. My current vehicle has an electronic parking break and it’s been issue free for eight years , but it only engages when I chose to do so. I wonder if there’s a solve for that with one of those obd...
Yup. I grew up here. Family roots + my trade work is basically only in CA or NYC (and I would haaaaate living there) so unless I want to completely change fields and leave all my friends and family…. I’ll be in CA for the long haul :P at least the weather is lovely in SoCal. That deff helps...
Sameeeeeee
If you’re not in CA you will likely be able to upgrade to something like a long range America tank if you’d like sometime over the next near I suspect. I actually sent them a note asking if they’d consider running the certifications to be sold in CA in the future but haven’t heard...
What time of year does Toyota typically announce the changes for a new MY? I know different manufacturers have sightly different timelines on this?
I'm guessing they change the assembly line over in like October/november?
Power folding mirrors and memory seats would be amazing. My base model station wagon from 2015 has both of those things ? At the very least it’d be nice to see Toyota put those in the halo trims next year then let it trickle into the lineup as an option over time.
It’s prob a mix of both mechanics and aesthetics. Squared off boxy designs have been gaining popularity in the US for a while. Especially in trucks. People wanna be #tough I guess? Plus raising the bed rails sort of raises the whole design up too. The real losers in this are pedestrians who get...
Nice!! Have fun with your new rig!
I’m lucky enough to live near several msrp only dealers so I’m not too worried about it on my end but I know not everyone is (and not everyone can travel to an msrp dealer either) so I wanted to pass the info I heard along
They are deff having some parts supply issues rn. I mentioned this in another thread but a sales rep told me that the other day and that’s it’s affecting which truck configurations are getting built rn. I suspect this will persist through at least the summer :(. I’m speculating a bit, to be...
I mentioned this in another thread, but I had a nice chat with a sales rep yesterday and he told me there are some parts supply delays on the trucks right now — particularly on the hybrids — and that is slowing down their initial roll out. He said that there would be limits on what...
Yikes that’s a hell of a price hike. That’s nicely appointed full size territory.
godspeed in your hunt! And hell yeah to walking away from crazy markups and unnecessary dealer options. If enough of us say no it makes a difference. Sure someone will buy the very first marked up ones cus they...
if its helpful for anyone I ended up chatting with a sales rep for a little bit today and he told me there have been some issues with parts supply so particularly on the hybrid trims we’re gonna be seeing a limited number of configurations initially (like mostly black interiors vs boulder for...
Apparently, the tundra doesn’t have the best payload either? A lot seem to land around 1300 from what I’ve seen though that is a bit better than the midsizes. Backseat room would definitely be more comfortable though.
I actually just test drove a dclb sr5 taco about an hour and it was quite...
