The Toyota website seems to call them "position sensitive" sometimes, but not always. Definitely strange. I wonder if Bilstein would give you any info since they're manufacturing the shocks.

I waited 6 months for my Tacoma to arrive at the dealer. In that time I saved up money and bought the first mods I wanted to do. I started adding things to my truck the first week I had it.
I think like any hobby, you have to save your money and spend according to what makes sense for you and your situation.
Personally, my truck is my highest priority hobby (and always has been) so I set aside some money in savings for truck mods. Of course, my mortgage, bills, food, and family...
The Trailhunter OME shocks appear to be similar to (if not exactly) the OME MT64 line of suspension. The MT64 line of shocks do not have internal bypass zones. It's a high pressure monotube shock similar to what Fox and others sell.
The OME BP51 line of shocks have the internal bypass zones...
I have not been tuned by OTT, but for another reference point the tuning for my 2018 F150 was somewhere around $750. This was a few years ago and included the module to tune at home. So $650 seems to be in a fair price range even if it doesn't include access to tune it yourself.
I'm looking...
If you're considering the Fox 2.5 or King shocks, then I'd recommend talking to AccuTune Offroad. They can custom tune the shocks based on your driving style. They tuned my Fox 2.5's and I'm happy with how they turned out. Just keep in mind that they aren't softer than my TRD OR shocks, but they...
This is a complicated question and one that I've wrestled with a lot because I too drive a lot of forest service roads but my truck is also my daily driver. For reference, I've owned Bilstein 5100, Fox 2.0, and custom tuned Fox 2.5 DSC suspensions (these were tuned for comfort and forest roads)...
That's a real bummer! You could check around, maybe someone is selling their used TRD OR suspension after upgrading and you could replace your own coilover faster than the dealer. Alternatively, any of the aftermarket coilovers (Icon, Fox, King, etc) will completely replace the top hat and solve...
For agressive bumpers, I like this one: https://southernstyle-offroad.com/collections/tacoma-2024-up/products/southern-style-full-plate-front-bumper-24-toyota-tacoma?_pos=1&_fid=70c011dc5&_ss=c
Not sure I could bring myself to cut the front facia, but maybe one day.
I also find it hard to read. I sanded my dipstick a little bit and it maybe helped a little bit but nothing to get super excited about. The factory should have added hash marks. Maybe I'll add some with the dremel at some point.
Maybe her meter wasn't calibrated right. She tried hard to convince me to go 20% on the fronts, but I went 35% because my OCD is ok with the front windows being lighter than the back, but not the other way around... go figure.
I did 35% on the front. They're a little bit lighter than the rear windows, but I'm happy with the end result. The tint shop I used metered the rear windows at around 25-26% if I remember correctly.
