Tried this yesterday and may save others some time by suggesting not to debug. Took about 15 minutes to complete the process. Received an email from them later in the day saying thanks but they weren't looking for any beta testers with the 24 Tacoma.
Updated a few settings though, very easy to...

What a neat idea. I was also disappointed by not having homelink in the base OR. May have to try this out! Did you just ziptie the board behind switch panel?
I don't have the upgrade package so I made use of the Peak Design wireless charger from my last vehicle. It makes the phone a little more upright, but at least the phone doesn't move around at all being Magsafe compatible. Adhesive wasn't quite strong enough so I used a few screws to hold it in...
I have the 8" Billie bars installed and currently waiting for the Revolver X4S to ship. They said the lead time is ~3 weeks (2 weeks remaining).
I'm hoping the cover can roll most of the way open but may get hung up on the rail nearest to the cab. I went this route because it felt like the most...
That photo is actually at my sister's house and it's their 4runner. They were pretty impressed by the Tacoma and may get a new 4runner or Land Cruiser. I don't think I've seen another silver Tacoma driving around yet, but it very well could have been me on 405. It's been pretty surprising how...
It's really hard to describe and notice, but it seems like the factory silver is blotchy or has inconsistent flake in certain lighting conditions. Especially on the passenger side of the hood. I noticed it when taking delivery and showed the dealer. Wasn't a big enough deal to seek any action...
Congrats and awesome truck! I think we're destined to be friends because we have a fair amount in common:
- local PNW
- previously owned 2017 canyon long bed diesel
- just bought 4G long bed celestial silver
- paint issues but it is what it is
- used Costco auto program
- similar mod...
I'll be installing Billie Bars this weekend (mid height) for a rooftop tent. The BAK X4s product page for the 6' bed finally went live on Realtruck yesterday so I ordered one of those. Cautiously optimistic about fitment, but expecting I may have to modify one of them to make it work cleanly...
My brother in law mentioned the same thing when he saw it the first time. The passenger and driver sides definitely don't look the same. It looks like "TRD OR". Took this photo while installing the DD switchbacks.
Maybe we're losing it and that's just the beam pattern...
In the same boat. I was looking around and noticed a few capped connectors in the engine bay and the rear. I couldn't tell if they were for the aux switches. The fuses for the aux switches aren't present where they live in the driver's side engine bay. I think it may be easier to add aftermarket...
Beyond hardware, there also has to be a software piece too... I assume those ITBC screens aren't available when the hardware isn't included?
Seems like another strategic upsell to get more customers into upgrade/premium packages where it becomes included.
Pretty shocking seeing some of these increases. The quote I got from Progressive is basically the same as my current Jeep Grand Cherokee at ~$500 per 6 months. Single vehicle with homeowners bundle discount in WA. I was pleasantly surprised to see it stay the same for a newer vehicle. The new...
Any specific reasons why you went with Sentry CT instead of BAK Revolver X4s?
I've been looking at both.. seems like the sentry may be marginally better at water resistance because of the Velcro sides, but Revolver may be slightly more secure with each slat locking into the rail.
I owned one of these on my Canyon. Thought it looked great but had an interesting design flaw. Water would pool in the channels between the metal panels and the adhesive underneath eventually gave way, allowing water to leak into bed. It seemed like normal usage opening/closing the cover put too...
