Yes, this banned member seems to have trolled this forum when he didn’t get his special color options for his Tacoma, so he became upset and vented upon this forum. Then trolled again once he picked up his new ford maverick… both timelines related to his maverick order and maverick pickup. He...
From the maverick forum from a member named “bad Samaritan “
“
When I posted a similar message on the tacoma4g forum and said that instead of a 2024 Tacoma, I decided to get a Maverick, I got a lot of hate in the comments, and eventually got banned from the forum by simply stating the fact that...
Exactly! This same bad Samaritan posted about abandoning his desire to get a “special” Tacoma and trolled this forum with his intent to get a ford maverick, instead.
Hey! Thank you for the update and glad to read that everything came together at the last moment and it worked! The larger tire setup is a known issue and when the software tunes become available, At the risk of voiding a warranty if discovered, are intended to try to provide more grunt to...
Some high pressure diesel inject is “cushi
of mileage is critical for you, why would you invest in a truck that discloses mileage and tank capacity to a potential buyer? I don’t mean to offend, just curious of how this wasn’t a problem when you made the change from a vehicle that went 1200...
Folks, this gent gets it and has more wisdom than I could ever wish for. The crux of the issue is…. How to terrify a Toyota customer, with engine failure claims, then it transitions to an injector failure… if this truly occurred, then it makes for better leverage to get the dealer to perform...
If you have any concerns about damage relating to the fuel injector failure, I would suggest getting a commitment from Toyota corporate to pay for a cylinder leak down test upon the effected cylinder during each oil change for the next 5 oil changes.. and document each test and for the first...
First oil change= metal in oil… it sits in the pan due to its weight and flows out during the first oil change. One of my employees also noticed this on his fist oil change on his new ford truck with the 7.3 Godzilla engine…
OP, I can drive from my home to Sonoma county, to Boron-on 1 tank of fuel, same as my gen 3 L4 AT Tacoma.. I don’t like doing it because the fuel pump is cooled by fuel. I guess I don’t see a problem with the mileage, but I also tend to drive without recruiting the turbo unless necessary- That...
LSPI is something the engine software controls very quickly.. and the best practices to avoid allowing the software to eliminate it, after it detects it:
Far more frequent oil changes
Premium fuel/higher octane
Manual control of the automatic trans, when the engine is cold.. to not bog down the...
Oem “take offs” on eBay are available but looking at the pictures.. the black finish is damaged in spots from impact gun use. Also, white knight wheel nuts may have something comparable. Googling the part number and omitting the “dash” will turn up some aftermarket options as well.
I am in the automotive industry… I know a guy that can do this if you’d like… not to take work away from Nave Motors, but this guy’s work is excellent and he is reasonable
Not in my opinion, using a T-tap is like using a wire nut, also this person ran into an issue between using a fuse tap for a ATM vs and ATM LP…. It is what it is.. not a fan of t-taps, but ok since LED lights can illuminate off of 9 volts.. but I would seal it, even if it looks like crap.
Lower viscosity oils can be utilized to greater effect if heat management is implemented by an automobile manufacturer. Especially for hot climates and towing.. or the combination of both.
lower viscosity oils provide better cold weather performance.
european engine oil being different...
Great question:
Lower viscosity oils are more thermally conductive, more efficient at transferring heat from a metal surface to the oil itself. Also the oil is more efficient at changing temperature when passing through the oil “cooler” device.
lower viscosity oils also have a great advantage...
Yes, and I apologize.. this is my fault.
The last “on topic” comment, related to Stillen QC on an aftermarket air cleaner assembly for the Tundra. For me, this means that I personally would wait for someone else to purchase The Stillen air cleaner assembly first to verify my QC concerns, that...
