Here's a link to my write-up. It took me a while to think about what I was going to do but it really wasn't that hard once I had the mounting bracket figured out. You'll see how I would have done things a bit differently than I did, but I'm still happy with the end result.
Interesting but I have questions.
For one it says it has a 4x50 watt output and it doesn't state anywhere how many ohms that power is delivered at. To me that sounds like it won't be directly compatible with the JBL system.
It's running Android 13, which is probably not uncommon but also is...
Mine's the same, specifically on the front fenders. It doesn't bother me, at least not enough to complain. You can only see it in certain lighting and there is no way they could ever make it better trying to repaint it.
I certainly can't speak for the dealerships. I'm assuming most competent alignment shops subscribe to a service to update their databases and who knows where that service pulls from...
I will say though that in talking to my alignment tech, a really good shop should talk to you about your...
Yup. Even after them updating their database the '24 specs weren't in it. The alignment guy said that's pretty common with Toyota in his experience. He claims it's often a year or two after gen changes before Toyota actually gets around to updating specs.
The original alignment was over a year ago (and about 22,000 miles) and I sadly don't think I got a printout. Here's what I got from the current alignment. It's certainly possible that the "before" specs aren't exactly how the Goodyear shop set it up b/c I routinely drive at speed down forest...
In my case I changed the geometry by lifting the front end to level the truck so that wouldn't be covered by any warranty. You could be correct concerning a stock truck...?
Make sure you talk to the person doing the alignment and ensure they know what they're doing. I had an alignment done at a Goodyear shop after installing spacers last year and in retrospect I believe they used the '23 specs. After 15k it was clear that the outsides were wearing at a much...
I did a similar install with a Thor's Lightning Compressor. There is lots of room for things in there. It certainly would have been easier to work with the wheel liner off but I pulled a few of those clips and said "screw that" and just did the job with the liner in place. I commend you on...
I got the original stage 1 update (spicy!) on May 17th and have been very happy with it. I have 24,500 on my '24 TRD OR and I'm guessing I've probably had the tune for seven or eight thousand miles. Just got the stage 1 update done this afternoon and although I've only driven ~25 miles it...
You've sold me on the Adam's product, and they're having a 25% off all products sale at the moment!
Any feedback on the difference between the regular and advanced coatings? The advanced says it has "50% increased resin coating" but how that translates to real world performance is...
I'm a bit confused. Is the new stage 1 an update to the original '24+ tune and if so is the update included for those who already purchased the original (mine was installed May 17, '25)?
I'm an idiot! This is why the community here is necessary, to save me from myself. I was pushing on the speaker rather than the button.... That only works one way. Problem solved... I'll crawl back in my hole now! :ROFLMAO:
I've only popped the center channel speaker out to use it as a bluetooth speaker a couple of times but I'm always impressed at the sound considering how small the speaker is.
Yesterday I tried to take it out though and it is stuck. Depressing it doesn't trip the spring mechanism to eject it...
They don't. They do make Jeep specific mounts but I think it would be a waste of money to try and customize one. Just decide where you want to mount it and design your own mount and have it made locally.
No way. My compressor is huge. That's why it fills so fast though. Everything is a tradeoff. There was no place in the engine bay I found to mount it that made sense.
Assuming you could find a place, Thor's Lightning does make a few brackets focused mainly on Jeep applications that you...
Exactly. I was drilling from the outside of the bed. Drilled the first hole and partially mounted my bracket and then drilled the rest of the holes with the bracket in place. Once I had two holes and bolts going through them then the rest were easy but there was no way I could have done it...
