I've probably read every post out there wrt rear coil swaps and I'm not aware of anyone replacing the shock due to length issues. Now, some might have replaced the shock just because they were completely upgrading the whole suspension with something like a King suspension, but that's a...
Awesome! I'm going to check that out!
The antenna is for the models that have a wireless controller. The sale is that you don't have to run a wire through the firewall for the controller and you can take the controller and use it remotely outside the vehicle. The catch is the antenna needs...
Nicely done. I see a wire tap in the fuse box in the second picture. Is that your trigger for the Auxbeam and if so can I assume it's triggered off the ignition? My set up is very similar other than the fact that I used the IGN fuse in the driver's side fuse box. It works fine but I could...
Sounds good. Any idea how much more lift?
Please give an update once you've had them for awhile. I don't necessarily need or want more lift but I do know I'm way over the recommended weight of the 819's.
How do you like the 821V's in comparison to the 819V's? I'm happy with my 819V's but I've considered swapping as well. I keep resisting the urge but people like you make it hard.... :ROFLMAO:
I have the Lone Peak Overland camper on a six foot bed. I have a TRD OR but all the six foot beds will be exactly the same regardless the trim. I love it! IMHO it's the best option on the market for the money. Way more usable space inside than the GFC. Custom built in Wenatchee, Wa.
That's one thing I really like about the CBI bumper. Yes, I can reach the handle through the driver's side opening. In a pinch I could even plug in the controller, although it's really not necessary since the Apex winch comes with wireless capability. It's nice to have the option in an emergency...
I think that's a good choice. Not sure if you need a front license plate in Colorado or not but if you do it looks like you might be able to keep it mounted in the stock location and still have winch access. It will cover the RCI cut out but some will argue that's a good thing...
Please post...
For sure. When I bought my truck I planned on doing very little to it. Now it's almost completely built out for full time overloading. ?‍♂️
I expected the winch/bumper combo to pull my front end down but surprisingly, it really didn't. To your point, maybe .25" but that's not enough for me...
The CBI doesn't have that extra bracket mounting to the frame and that is a concern of mine. It only mounts to the face and top of the frame and it feels like under extreme loads it could deform the frame. It may not be needed, IDK, but I've considered having some 1/4 steel angled to go from...
I think the CBI bumper meets all your needs. Outside of the issues I discussed in the initial write-up I'm perfectly happy with it. It still looks brand new and I have no reason to believe it won't for years to come. Living in the PNW it's gotten wet plenty but there's no sign of rust and no...
Nicely done~! You could also fairly easily use a couple of poles and make more headroom over the tailgate area, similar to what Harker does with their EDC camper.
What would you recommend for cheap fly material? I'd like to make some walls for my 270 awning. Tuff Stuff has raised the price...
I can vouch for Raingler. They're located in the San Juan islands and I took a couple of days to go out there last summer for them to use my truck as the template for the 4th Gen. Eddie and his wife custom make the nets in their shop by hand so although they might seem a bit expensive they are...
Love it! Are those the Steens Mountains? That's an area I need to explore!
You might also look at Ironman 4x4 for the springs. They finally got them stocked (almost a year after I'd originally talked to them about it).
I love mine as well. Mine didn't come with the snap holes cut at all though and when I inquired they said they've stopped pre-cutting the holes and I should just cut slots for the snaps myself. Makes sense since it seems that's a problem spot. I think it's just too hard to get them to line up...
