You mean with the plastic rivets in place correct? Because without them the square holes are too big for bolts.

I guess they screw into the rivets. By chance does anyone know size of rivets so I can replace if I decide to remove guards?

I think the rough country ones I was sent were defective (missing straps and flaps). That being said I watched the EKR install video last night and it seems very doable. I’ll find out today!

In California plans from dealerships in other states cannot be legally purchased. I called about 20 dealerships in California to check prices and was quoted a lot more than the prices listed in this thread. Wondering if anyone in California would be willing to share what they paid.

Mine didn’t have it either. I had to demand it from the sales rep. I got it emailed before I made purchase. And there were a few discrepancies between the window sticker and the specs posted online. If you haven’t made your review yet the sales reps really don’t like getting negative reviews...

Haven’t had a chip or crack in any windshield of mine for a decade or more. Got two in the 24 Tacoma before I’d even had it two months. I was wondering if it was just poor luck or if it was actually cheap/defective glass.

Mine is on the actual Toyota emblem in the center of the steering wheel. Just chipped chrome paint showing the plastic underneath. I have babied and been very careful with the interior so it’s just poor QC imo.

I have the same/similar thing going on. Just noticed it a couple weeks ago. Had the truck under two months. Bugs me too but I figured I had no recourse as it would be considered “wear and tear”. also noticed a chip in my door protector five minutes after driving off the dealer lot. Sucks lol

No expert by any means. Manual says 87. I wouldn’t run it on anything less than that. I’d stick with 88. With the turbo I’m running 91 which I believe is what Toyota tests these engines with. Again no expert. Just my two cents.
