Supply and demand are so important to remember in situations like this. The market flurry driven by excitement increases demand and therefore higher prices are the result. In this case dealer mark ups. You do have options as called out above, one of which is to wait for the demand side of the...
I agree. I think we all have to step back and remember that there is a lot of excitement right now about the new Tacoma and this will settle down. When it does, we all want to feel good about our purchase and how much we spent.
I wonder if maybe we are seeing a trend back toward chrome. Seems like everything lately has been blacked out and I sometimes feel like that is too much.
I got the nightshade edition on my mag grey 2023 Limited I bought last month. I did not really like it at first, but it has grown on me. I think it would look good with the new underground color on the 4th gen
Hmm. Interesting. I wonder if the Limited will be more like you get what you get for that price since it might include a lot of the stuff anyway. Sort of like the top of the line Subaru Legacy not having any packages available since it is already loaded, but they do have accessories you can add...
I noticed yesterday in the TFL driving impressions video, they called out the increased turning radius in the 4th gen because of wheel base being about 4 inches longer. I have been really impressed with my new 2023 Limited turning radius. It feels almost like my Forester. I test drove a...
I was really hoping the configurator would have gone live yesterday. Feels like we are still in the dark on a lot of this stuff and the speculation continues.........
We still don't know what the price on the Limited will be once the added options/accessories are considered. The $52,100 is just the base MSRP, then we have to add $1,495 to that for destination, so really it is $53,595. The base MSRP is $10,745 more than the 2023.
I had intended to wait for the 4th gen and after a lot of going back and forth, decided to pull the trigger on my 2023 Limited. I felt that the price was almost too good to pass up. I got it for 43,500 out the door. I felt good about getting the V6 as it would be the last of them. After buying...
Makes me glad I went ahead and got my 2023 Limited last month. It was 43,500 out the door. I have a feeling the used market on the V6's are going to be pretty strong for awhile.
Interesting that the model codes are the same as the 3rd gen. For example, 7582 is a 3rd gen Limited. I know because I just bought one last month. Makes me question if this is authentic for the 4th gen.
My dealer told me they have two new Tundras with engine failure that have been sitting there for 8 months waiting for parts. That sort of made me glad I chose the V6 Tacoma. I can't imagine being the owners of those Tundras and how upset they must be.
Not sure what to make of this if he was nervous about it. I am a huge fan of new technology and in theory, liked the idea of the new 4 cylinder, but I just bought a new 2023 Limited and part of my decision was the tried and true bullet proof V6. I hope I made the right decision.
Part of why I don't put much stock in these prices, is that Toyota does not typically do the X99(599,699, etc.) thing on their pricing that I have ever seen anyway. It is possible that they are changing this, but it jumped out at me. I guess we will see soon.
All of this speculation is driving me nuts, yet I can't look away. :-). Waiting for the driving impressions, pricing, mileage estimates, configurator, brochures, etc. is like watching paint dry!
