  1. Can I have the hour back it took to find out these seat covers are crap?

So, as some of you attested, it can be done. For me, it took help from smaller people. I’m too tall to squeeze my way to undo the straps, but my wifeā€˜s hands were just right. I pulled the strap from the front with a coat hanger bent just the right way while she moved the straps in the right...
  2. Can I have the hour back it took to find out these seat covers are crap?

My hands hurt like heck this morning from all that grabbing and seat stretching….fair warning.
  3. Can I have the hour back it took to find out these seat covers are crap?

Looks like the nylon straps in my truck are shorter than yours. There’s literally no give. I tried with the included tucking ā€œtoolā€ to stretch it under a lot of force and they simply won’t stretch far enough to unloop around the hook. I’m too old for this S**t. Oh well. Back to China they go...
  4. Can I have the hour back it took to find out these seat covers are crap?

And how did you manage getting that flap off? Before trying it again, it would be nice to have a sense for how they come undone. Unfortunately, no instruction on YouTube, the internet, or here.
  5. Can I have the hour back it took to find out these seat covers are crap?

I’d probably be willing to give it another shot if I wasn’t guessing at how to undo the rear flap on the front seats. I can feel some stretchy material going to an attachment point, but I’m not 5 inches tall and can’t see the location. I’d rather not guess and screw it up.
  6. Can I have the hour back it took to find out these seat covers are crap?

Another member recommended these seat covers from Amazon. I figured, ok, inexpensive, but might be worth it. Turns out, nope. Total crap with bad fitment that just looks frumpy. I didn’t buy seat covers so I could tear into my seats, potentially breaking them or the various connection points...
  7. List of Unsold 2024 Tacoma Affected by the Transmission TSB as of 12/18/24 *UPDATED*

Just because it’s on the list, doesn’t mean it’s going to fail. That’s why. My current truck is on the list and hasn’t failed.
  8. JBL sound system low volume out of the door speakers

The taco jbl stereo is average at best with a strong front sound bias. The door and rear sub? don’t seem to be intended to ā€œbalanceā€ the sound at all. Set your sound at 30 and pull the sound all the way back, then left and right to see what I’m talking about. Unfortunately, not a lot of you can...
  9. CELESTIAL SILVER METALLIC 2024 Tacoma Thread (4th Gen)

Silver wasn’t a top color choice when I was looking, but the discount on it made me happy. I’ve grown to appreciate it since I bought it.
  10. Paint chip repair for hood of TRD PRO

One man’s opinion, it’s all good. Did not mean to ruffle your feathers. there’s a few brands out there that offer factory ppf. Not sure why or how you equate my opinion on paint as an indicator I’m unhappy with options or the truck overall, but whatever, it’s the internets. All good.
  11. Pets With US!

Give to your local animal shelter, they are dealing with a huge wave of post pandemic dog surrenders. Especially tough because most are Huskys, German Shepherds, and pit mixes which are harder to adopt out and more costly to house and feed. I did my part adopting these two…
  12. "Ceramic Pro Ion" reviews?

Old school, mcguires tek wax every 90 days. The 3k ppl/ceramic crowd is more protected/shinier for sure, but I can’t say the cost is worth it. Totally subjective, but I would ppf a new R8, not a Toyota, so I’m not against it, just not for it for a pickup. Beauty marks are part of the charm.
  13. Paint chip repair for hood of TRD PRO

This is just a fail, imo, that you all are paying an extra 3k or more to make up for the fact that Toyota paint is $h!t on a 65k+ trim. Toyota should ship it with full ppf for that price.
  14. POLL: Have *you* experienced transmission problems?

<——- Statistician….took 4 stats courses in undergrad and graduate degrees. This survey contains elements of quantitive and qualitative stats. He could assign a range of values for each answer and start doings maths to answer questions of the data.
  15. POLL: Have *you* experienced transmission problems?

It would have been reverse to first gear.
  16. POLL: Have *you* experienced transmission problems?

I was just warming up my truck, backed out of my driveway, put it in gear, and as I took off, I felt big ā€œSlamā€. I thought the back seat was open and dropped closed. Truck drove completely normally. Back seat could have been in the up position and slammed closed as I moved forward, but wanted to...
  17. ARB Bed Bar…Why the hate?

Since ā€œmultiquoteā€ doesn’t want to work: replying to: By valuing it at 3 bones means you essentially hate it too. So here’s the thing. It’s basically a cosmetic flourish. It’s not actually useful, so how can anyone value it higher? If I have one and then decide I want a bed cover, shell, or...
  18. ARB Bed Bar…Why the hate?

deliver it to SF Bay Area, sure. Depending on price. Lol
  19. ARB Bed Bar…Why the hate?

Just noticing that everyone with a TH removes it when they get home and immediately posts it for sale. I realize it’s not totally functional, but I don’t think it’s bad as a cosmetic flourish. I’d pay @300 for one, but not more. Thoughts? Why did you dump yours?
  20. Pretty sure my transmission is on its way out.

On one hand, we customers want Toyota to keep us from inconvience and harm. On the other, until it fails, we havenā€˜t been inconvenienced or harmed so Toyota isn’t under any obligation to do anything. More of a catch 22 than Toyota treating us poorly. The Tundra went about 2 years from launch...
