Yeah, that makes sense. FWIW, the drain plug goes in diagonally, and I wonder how much oil and debris is could be left in the undrained well. makes me wish I had changed the oil in mine as soon as I got it home. For future new vehicle purchases, I think I will start doing that.

Yup, I watched a couple of his videos and I'm certainly going to switch to the Purolator Boss filter. The amount/size of contaminants using the Toyota OEM was really surprising! I also watched some videos from TheMotorOilGeek on YouTube, and those were interesting as well.

So far I have not had any issues of this type with my 24 Sport.

Yup, I am patiently waiting for their release, maybe another month or so.

Never mind, I was resetting the oil maintenance reminder instead of the “scheduled maintenance” reminder. Once I reset the “scheduled” reminder the notification cleared. Yes, I am an idiot, ha!

Is anyone else having issues trying to reset the “maintenance required” notification after an oil change or at the 5,000 mile interval? I tried several times, making sure I selected “Yes” each time, and still it will not reset. If you were successful please let me know how you did it, thanks!

Not sure who you’re asking, but as for me and my 24 Sport I’m using OEM filter and Mobil-1 0W-20.

Please double-check, but I believe the Mobil-1 filter is the M1-103A.

For my 2024 Sport, I installed a Fumoto F103SX with no issues. it is well protected by the crossmember as shown below

Yup, I have noticed the same issue with mine. Mine reverts to Trip A or B. Issue happens upon a restart.
