  1. Audison Ap 8.9 Bit 8 Channel Amp

I listen to virtually everything except for country. Classical, rock, pop, opera, techno, etc. I just want a clean sound at volume with a good enveloping bass. No max volume, no rumble the mirrors off, not an audiophile by any means. My old system back 20 years ago was all alpine. Type-R...
  2. Audison Ap 8.9 Bit 8 Channel Amp

Will I genuinely notice an improvement in audio (assuming the installed tunes it well) with the stock speakers? I'm used to the idea of having to change the speakers out as well.
  3. OEM Roof Rack TSB on its way - Canada

Mine is booked in for the repair this Wednesday. I will let you know what gets changed out and how it goes.
  4. Audison Ap 8.9 Bit 8 Channel Amp

Spoke with a local stereo installer and they recommended an OEM add-on system and interface. A little research shows it does seem to work when installed and tuned by the right people, but it’s also a good ten years old. Has anyone used the Audison setup before?
  5. This Truck's Tech Is Overwhelming

    Mine were 45 PSI
  6. Ontario Insurance rates

    Mines about $2200/yr.
  7. OEM Roof Rack TSB on its way - Canada

Just heard back from Toyota Canada that the TSB for the vibrating roof rack will be out in a couple weeks. The repair will be new, stiffer portions of the rack. Likely the wind deflector and front support, but that's just my guess. Happy this is coming to a conclusion.
  8. 4g Tacoma MPG and Fuel Tank Size SUCKS!!!

    I did in my case. Toyota Canada advertised a fuel consumption rate of 10.3 l / 100 km. SO a 70 l tank should get me 677 kms on a tank. Take a hundred kms off for reality and I'm still expecting 577 kms a tank (12.1 l / 100 km). I get 400 kms on a tank (17.5 l / 100 km). Driving the first 6000...
  9. 4g Tacoma MPG and Fuel Tank Size SUCKS!!!

2wd, 65mph highway, beauty driving with no heavy acceleration. I will take it in for a checkup.
  10. 4g Tacoma MPG and Fuel Tank Size SUCKS!!!

Less fuel fill, less range, better power = Mediocre satisfaction lol
  11. 4g Tacoma MPG and Fuel Tank Size SUCKS!!!

No battle to be had. Everyone's experience has been different. Never did I anticipate 17.5 l / 100 km fuel consumption. I want nothing more than to be happy with my new $85K truck. I was hoping the smaller tank would be offset by the better fuel economy when compared to my 2006 V6 Tacoma. And...
  12. Parking assist

Probably a little dirt or ice/snow on the sensor. Stop and give them a clean. I don't really like rubbing dirt off of something as the surface will likely scratch so a quick black at the carwash usually does it.
  13. Trailhunter MPG

I don’t see my battery kicking in all that often around the city honestly, and if it does it is for a short blast and then off, like seconds. I completely accept that this truck won’t get 10.3 l / 100 km, but my old gas guzzling 2006 taco with a V6, lift, arb number and winch, etc., got 15 l...
  14. Trailhunter MPG

That’s essentially my setup minus the tires and I got 17.5 l / 100 km (13.4 mpg) on my last 850 km of highway driving. Makes me think something’s wrong with my truck.
  15. 2024 Trailhunter - first week of ownership

    Nothing crazy, like $150/month IIRC.
  16. 2024 Trailhunter - first week of ownership

It was $1100 with the fender liners and skid plates removed, cleaned and sprayed.
  17. 2024 Trailhunter - first week of ownership

HoneySeal is complete. Truck smells like a crayon when I get out lol. Supposed to be like that for 5 ish days.
  18. Trailhunter MPG

Not disagreeing whatsoever, just disheartening when combined with the smaller fuel tank. Plus, Toyota posted the estimated fuel consumption at 10.3 l/100 km combined. From what I am seeing here, that's probably 5 l /100 km too generous or give or take 50% off. That's a pretty significant...
