  1. Unofficial Official Largest Trailhunter Meetup in North America (maybe?)

I’ll be hunting that weekend. But let me know if you guys ever want to do big bend state park. Heard it’s pretty intense. And I’ll throw out some Austin dates as well. I go regularly and will ping you both.
  2. Falken Wildpeak AT4W Review - LT275/70/18

Watch some videos by outdoor auto on you tube. Read up on all terrains, mud terrains, and rugged terrains. It goes deep. Check this out in particular.
  3. Falken Wildpeak AT4W Review - LT275/70/18

Just as good as my prior AT3Ws. I’d say 7-8 out of 10.
  4. Falken Wildpeak AT4W Review - LT275/70/18

To get an SL, I’d need to drop down to a 32.6” tire. Doesn’t sound like much but that was the size of my stock tires and with an 18” rim that left me so little sidewall for off-road applications. The 33.43” is really nice and just right visually and practically. I also wanted something...
  5. Falken Wildpeak AT4W Review - LT275/70/18

Short update. These tires run very big for a 275/70/18. Very. They are 33.43” tall and most 275/70/18s are 33.2” tall. They also run wide. The tread is 9.3” wide. For perspective, that’s the same exact tread width of the 285/75/18 KO3s — a 285 tire. The 275/70/18 KO3 tread is 8.9” wide...
  6. 285/70/r17 recalibration?

I’m a lawyer and actually thought about this, but I don’t think most authorities have ever even considered this. It’s an interesting point.
  7. Diamondback SE Tonneau install

I’m a complete dumbass with installing anything (like really dumb) and I found installing the HD to be easy with the paper instructions they provide. Just give yourself an afternoon, take it slowly, and find a helper for when you need to lift and align panels and tighten them down. Here’s my...
  8. Window Rattle when cracked open!

Do you guys have the thicker acoustic glass?
  9. Unofficial Official Largest Trailhunter Meetup in North America (maybe?)

Rich in time is rich to me. We should hang.
  10. Unofficial Official Largest Trailhunter Meetup in North America (maybe?)

Free most days? I wish I was that rich. My brother is in Austin and I’m in Houston. My son and I are really into this stuff. Would be cool to connect. I’m in Austin a lot.
  11. Unofficial Official Largest Trailhunter Meetup in North America (maybe?)

I would meet up. Do you live in Texas ?
  12. Unofficial Official Largest Trailhunter Meetup in North America (maybe?)

We must organize a super meet in Moab for all of us.
  13. 285/70/r17 recalibration?

I switched from 265/70/18 to 275/70/18 and the speedometer still reads 1-2 MPH faster than the speed I’m going. Weird. And my new tires are 0.75” taller after I took inflated and mounted measurements.
  14. Unofficial Official Largest Trailhunter Meetup in North America (maybe?)

Nice! Let’s try to build a critical mass.
  15. Unofficial Official Largest Trailhunter Meetup in North America (maybe?)

My wife noted that when we had a lime green TRD PRO, we would see another one every once in a while and we would wave etc. Rare but they were around. For the TH - we have seen zero in Texas. I wonder what production numbers are.
  16. Unofficial Official Largest Trailhunter Meetup in North America (maybe?)

I wanted to start one in Texas. Ping me if interested. Houston, Austin, or San Antonio would work as meeting places. I could also host off-road testing / events at my ranch near Leakey, Texas.
  17. Falken Wildpeak AT4W Review - LT275/70/18

Almost did. Couple reasons. First, I had the AT3Ws on my 22 Pro and liked them. Second, the guys at Discount Tire said they had a hard time balancing KO3s and people were returning them. So I just went with their recommendation. I like the AT4Ws except they ride a little hard. On the fence...
  18. From excited to feeling nervous about my Tacoma Limited order

How do you like the Duratrac RTs? What’s the size, load range, and ride comfort ?
  19. Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs 35x10R17 (255/85/17)

Bro - those tires are High T - if they had those in an 18” rim I’d consider it - great for saving weight and still achieving height
