  1. Diamondback Switchback on Hybrid / TH

I had a lomax trifold on my last truck. It’s really decent. The reason for the Switchback is that I like to use the bed from time to time and I get 2/3 access really fast. For loading up deer feeders, hauling stuff to the dump, etc, it’s a lot easier than taking off a panel. Otherwise yeah I...
  2. Diamondback Switchback on Hybrid / TH

Hello, Has anyone installed the DB Switchback on a hybrid / TH? I am worried about the latches near the tailgate requiring a plate that may cover up the outlet or the air compressor. If you’ve got pictures of how it looks on your truck including in the tailgate area please post. Also any...
  3. Gulf States Toyota - ripoff?

It’s nothing short of infuriating. Add to this that they do zero for you when you have an actual issue with your truck or when you want to do meaningful maintenance but try to replace your air filter for $60 every time you even drive by their service department.
  4. Gulf States Toyota - ripoff?

Well done. I will do the same next purchase.
  5. Gulf States Toyota - ripoff?

I’m in Texas. Gulf states should be prosecuted for criminal levels of consumer exploitation. I fucking hate them. I always pay 3-5 thousand more for a truck because of $500 bed extenders and “paint protection” horse shit. It makes my blood boil. It’s never negotiable. And yet we are...
  6. Trailhunter lift options

Hey guys - need some help here - is it “normal” that the passenger side is a little higher than the driver side? I think half an inch up front. Also, are most folks at around 38-38.5” from center cap to fender as shown in the photo with stick tires on the trail hunter?
  7. Trailhunter max tire size

The AT4s are heavy too - impressive. Was it the width that made it clip the back? Or more the diameter? I think those are 34.3”
  8. Trailhunter max tire size

I just have a slight safety concern with removing that crash pad, but maybe that’s an overblown concern. I will say that that size tire looks amazing on the trailhunter— good job with that. What kind of tires did you get and how did they impact performance on your truck?
  9. Trailhunter max tire size

Hello Folks - Has anyone attempted to fit 285/70/18s or 295/70/18s on the Trailhunter without making any modifications? That includes not removing the horn/crashpad in the fender behind the tires. Everything I see online pertains to what can fit on the truck with a special lift on the TRD OR...
  10. My Trailhunter finally arrived: Initial impressions, couple pics, planned build

It’s great to have some trail hunter buddies out there. My 22 pro was stolen and I’m still not over it. I got this truck as a way to treat myself. It’s 80% better than the old truck but I notice things that the old truck did better. My hope is bigger tires cures that for the most part.
  11. My Trailhunter finally arrived: Initial impressions, couple pics, planned build

OP: I just got my TH on Saturday and I really like it. Agree it’s more like a German car and very solid. Night and day from the 3G. My only beef is that it is far poorer in terms of approach/breakover/departure angles and ground clearance at the diff than my old 2022 PRO. All the...
  12. Turning off power tailgate

So I figured out how to turn off the power tailgate on my info screen and when I do it seems I can manually open the tailgate .. but when I try to close it, I’m pushing against the motor. And if I let go it stays frozen in mid air. This seems off. I thought it would behave as a normal...
  13. TrailHunter Tacoma Underground Build — DECKED, Smart Cap, Method Wheels

This will totally work if I want to keep the bull bar. How deep is the decked shelving? And did the 200lb cause any rear sag?
