Total is 18.3 and increases by .1 every time I drive it. Best I've seen is 24.6 on a 22 mile 70/30 city/hw trip. This is using the dash computer as well. Might be a little better hand calulated.

Well technically it does interface with the iPhones WiFi/Bluetooth in order to connect to the systems, but you’re right it doesn’t connect to iOS as that’s impossible.

You are misunderstanding what those do.
it’s an entirely separate operating system. The box is essentially turning the screen into a google tablet allowing you to use apps you can’t normally on android auto and Apple CarPlay.
