I was just thinking for now to level it out and run 265/70 R18 for the TRD Sport. That would be 32.6" tires maintaining the 10.4" width. I like that width I have with my soon to be sold 2016 SR that runs 265/75 R16 KO2's.
Congrats on your ride!!!
The best shifting Toyota I ever had was my old 88 Celica GTS. Man that 5 speed gear box was sweet. Nothing compares or ever came close, including the 6MT X-Runner I had.
Only my current 2016 SR was my ever-automatic Toyota truck.
My list is large of manual gear...
Taking in my Corolla SE for its final freebie from Toyota tire rotation (WS-90's on 15" steel), I went straight underneath the TRD Sport sitting outside and took this snap.
What does the TRD off-road have from the factory? May need to cut this one off and replace, or wait for a TRD bash plate...
Since the 6MT Tacoma's are not being built, while my allocation sits idle, I have been exploring other avenue's besides using my 2016 SR for trade-in at the dealer I have my allocation at.
The used car market prices are falling, so I am testing the waters now.
I have an appointment with...
Now, if the new 4G had an x-runner version, it would be like my old 05 x-runner.
That was my street setup (wet weather for the track), BFG KDW2's and my road course tires in the bed, BFG R1's. Wicked fun and fast truck, I could top out at 130 on Road America going into turn 12.
Then the flip...
My main requirements with this new 4G were, manual transmission and multi-link coiled rear.
Only the off-road and sport were in the running. I chose sport because I spend practically all of my time on pavement. Now if I had an x-runner type Tacoma, I would seek street performance tires, but...
How is the clearance with upper ball joint? That is why I planned to keep 265, for now...
I was looking at 265/70 R18 for my TRD Sport when it gets built. Looks like it will fit?
265/65 R18 on left and your 285/70 R17 on right:
Diameter inches (mm)
31.56 (801.7)
32.71 (830.8)
1.15 (29.1)...
Ask for the used car saleguy at the dealer, he/she may offer some $$$ to fit them on a trade in or something.
My 2016 SR that I have and my previous 2010 SR5, they paid me $250 for the tires. Though rolling stock remained relatively the same between 2nd and 3rd gen trucks. Easier for used...
Same here, wondering if we could get a complete side shot with the all blacked out rims on the Frontier selling one...
Nice to see one with blacked out grill and one without, same with rims, both versions to contemplate.
How much? Probably an automatic?
When did they black out the emblem in front?
First mod when I get mine (if ever) will be to ditch the lam-o tires and replace them with 265/70 KO2's and drop a better TRD or K & N air filter in.
Just noticed the wheels are blacked out too...
The dealer I am working with moved all of their TRD Sport's into the 'SOLD' tab, yet they never received any new 2024 Tacoma yet. They have 4 of them allocated.
