  1. Alignment Issues Due to Tire Shop?

Shouldn't be an issue. Discount Tire does this at all my local locations, and they seem to prefer it over using the lifts. If the alignment was recently done, take it back to whoever did it since that work is likely under warranty. Also - check your tire pressures with a good gauge. Incorrect...
  2. AliExpress 14.6" Infotainment - Anyone have experience with these?

The off brand Chinese Android head units have been getting better and better over the last five years or so. There are still some duds, but if the seller has good reviews, and sells other products with good reviews, it could be worth it.
  3. 2024 Trailhunter - A/C not cold

This. I bet your fans are unplugged.
  4. Strange motor noise below bed

Yep, EVAP system leakdown test. I freaked out the first time I heard mine do it. The manual says something about it too. It happens 5hr after shutdown.
  5. Sxth Element TRC1 vs. Pedal Commander

Especially when our trucks have driver adjustable modes that do WAY more than any pedal controller can do. And I'll say it again for people in the back: The ONLY thing that these pedal controllers can do is to simulate the driver pushing the throttle pedal more or faster. Which can be done...
  6. Leaking roof in or near body seam

So..... Why haven't you just taken it back to them and gotten it fixed for $300? Seems like a small price to pay to have this resolved.
  7. Wide VS Narrow Tires (Pizza Cutters to Wide)

Spot on. I'm in the PNW, which is WET for a solid 50% of the year, damp for 25% of the year, and dry-ish for the other 25%. Skinny tires feel very sketchy on wet asphalt. Add in some road debris or uneven surfaces and traction will snap loose much quicker. Skinny tires also need higher psi to...
  8. Wide VS Narrow Tires (Pizza Cutters to Wide)

I've seen both videos. Neither one actually tests the tires in real conditions. Tire width affects the feel and performance for daily driving, snow, sand, mud, rocks, and... Everything. And I'm not just talking about the carcass width - tread width has an even larger impact. Load rating also...
  9. Your new truck probably needs an alignment

Tires don't change the suspension, so that wouldn't void any warranty coverage.
  10. Leaking roof in or near body seam

So the first dealership said they could fix it for $300, correct?
  11. Your new truck probably needs an alignment

This is correct - if your suspension is stock, alignment is covered under warranty for 1yr/12k. Once the suspension is modified, it's all on the owner.
  12. OEM Toyota Accessory Part PT948-35245-002 =Complete TRD Sport Front Grille Black Out

Nice! I had to buy an overlay kit for a Limited Taco, and only use the grill badge, so this one saves $25 or so.
  13. Bottle Jack Recommendations for lifted/bigger tire combinations ?

The Toyota factory bottle jack is honestly the best bottle jack available. Carry a wide block of wood to get additional height, or maybe a Hi-Lift sand/mud base.
  14. Any idea what this signaling device is or does?

Yep. I Google searched the image, and it's an Ikon Technologies GPS tracker. Commonly used in rental, loaner, demo, or BHPH lot cars. Sometimes added as a dealership option but nobody ever really wants it. If your truck is leased, leave it. If you own your truck, remove it.
  15. Tacoma Exodus

Yep, it's an SR. Not a TRD Prerunner. The unpainted rear bumper is a dead giveaway, along with the lack of fog lights.
  16. TRD Pro, Dont kick me I want to lower it…

How many miles are on your Tacoma? They take some driving to break in - until then, the suspension is kinda harsh and crashy.
  17. Installing MTM on a 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road?

Will they bolt in? Absolutely. Will they function? Um........ You'd need to dig around to confirm what which wiring harness(es) those parts connect to, and if your truck has them or not. Also, whether or not any other modules or additional parts required. You may get lucky though, since much...
  18. Toyota Dealership offering Rodent Screen

WTF this is a new one for me too. Maybe if you have a known rodent problem. Maybe. But the FIRST answer would be to get the rodents under control. If I had enough mice to worry about the truck, I'd be more worried about my house.
  19. Transmission temp while climbing in 4H

I had this exact thought the other day while driving. Either use manual shift mode to keep the revs up, or put the truck in Sport Mode or maybe Tow/Haul Mode (especially if the truck is heavily loaded). Then the trans won't slip as much and temps will stay lower.
  20. Clunk when making first stop of the day

It happened on my 3rd Gen 4runner, and my GX470 (Same as a 120 series Prado/4runner). Both were 4 link/panhard rear suspension. Both were solved with some good Moly Grease for the splines. Easy DIY fix. Edit: but DON'T use Moly Grease on the U-Joints themselves. Never use Moly Grease in any...
