Does anyone know when the shutter closes? I read it’s temperature based, something like 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Has anyone started their truck and then walked up to the front to see if the shutter closes while it’s parked until things heat up. I’m thinking that those of us in warmer climates...
Hope they get it resolved quickly for you, I like using mine during the day and switch to traditional view for nighttime driving as i can see traffic behind me much better that way. The digital rear view mirror was the main deciding factor for me choosing the premium package. It does take a...
That’s correct, the truck and I are not taking the three gallon into consideration. I will try to stretch a fill another 20 miles which I’m sure it will do. It’s typically not advised to run to low to avoid picking up crud in the tank which we most likely don’t have yet. A range of 300 for me is...
After 6 trips to the pump and almost 1800 miles, my truck is averaging 20.2mpg. I have a rough stop and go commute so my average speed for the 1800 mils is 29mph. My average range left is 7.7 miles and I average 299 miles to the tank. My average hours of driving per tank is 8.43. Most of my...
I took a look at the spare tire this afternoon and it's not looking too good for much bigger tires or pushing the wheel back a bit to get more room where the rear of the trailer hitch is. There's two hard stops, one of each side to keep the tire from rubbing the sway bar. You can see the two...
3TM and was one of the first 600 built at the Baja plant. That said, mine has a build date of 0224 so they may be building them out of VIN sequence. I’m skeptical that mine was actually built in February as it arrived at the dealership on the 8th of February. It’s an Off Road premium if that...
I saw that video yesterday, he was a little vague on exactly where it was and was generally pointing at the entire unit. I’m almost tempted to unplug that sensor to see if it pops a code. We need a section on the forum for codes and resolutions so we don’t need to rely on the dealership for easy...
I started my truck and checked again this morning and it stayed open. I’m going to order a GoPro so I can mount it to see if it closes when I drive. It rarely gets below 40 here so it may not activate unless I drive up to the mountains.
Costco is 80 cents cheaper than the Chevron around the corner and sadly their head quarters are down the street. I’m not sure of the fuel pump is internal or external, always heard you don’t want to run the tank too low if the fuel pump is internal due to heating issues.
Here’s my latest data from my fill yesterday. Seems like 300 for my drives is what I can expect for range and you can see I drive it close to the end of the range. I am assuming there is still at least three gallons left in the tank as my consumption has typically been around 15 or less gallons.
There is extremely limited space behind the seat, especially if you get the sub woofer back there. The tire jack is on the other side and I wouldn’t expect to be able to put anything there. As far as under the seat, it is also very limited? I keep my accessory cables that came with the ruck...
My guess is that they are using that sensor as it most likely measures the ambient air temperature and the shutter is activated by the ambient temperature. I have yet to see my shutter close, I remote start and check to see if it closes and it doesn't so perhaps the truck needs to start moving...
