I'm not the OP but definitely a boomer. I got the limited because I like comfort and convenience. It is the softest riding Tacoma on road with the best build materials (door cards are soft touch with stitching for example). It has HUD, Softex seats are standard etc. I like chrome! We used to pay...
I’m sure OP will chime in soon but I will give my impression of them. For me, 6'2" I don't use them as the truck is pretty much the perfect height for me without. My wife, 5'7" doesn't use them either. She says it’s easier without them. Now for the boards. I think they come down lower than...
Could be. I would think the shutter would be opened/closed based on coolant temp rather than ambient air temp in front of the radiator. But who knows until we see some documented fixes of existing Tacomas with issues. Mine is busted so I will get a front row seat to this one.
I don't think we really know at this point. I think the one in the grill is just the ambient air temp displayed on your screen inside the truck. That shutter assembly is buried pretty good under coolant tanks and various trim pieces. It's hard to see much without removing stuff.
Same plant probably within days of each other. Once I saw these shutter malfunction posts I almost wanted mine to break soon so I could hopefully not have that issue hanging over my head. Part of me also said I hope it at least works for a few months and see if the fix seems to be working on...
I have one. I ended up removing it. It doesn't really take all that much space from the console. I just got tired of having to open 2 lids to access my stuff.
I bought a Wrangler 392 in Des Moines and drove it back to Tulsa. What I did was try to vary the gearing periodically. Drive in eight, for awhile, then 7th, 6th ect. You can also slow down a bit and do light pulls up to the speed limit traffic permitting. Just play around with it and work on...
My FI guy went on for what seemed like forever pitching some 3 party warranty until I just said I’m only interested in the OEM Toyota one. At least he admitted the dealer pushes them to sell the off brand one cause “it’s a better warranty “.
Ok I have a random question. In the third pic down of your center console I don't see a stop/start override button? Am I just not seeing it? Would be the far right button of the of the five.
To me it seems like the initial press releases an electric latch, the tailgate starts to open with gravity for about 1/2 second then the motor engages and opens the tailgate.
There is a pause between latch release and motor engagement. "Slack" in the motor assembly causing a "pause/hanging"...
I got mine last week. I have driven it in the rain since but nothing like your ventures. So far so good. Do you think ours got through before the hold or were part of the hold but got fixed and released early in the harness change? My door jam says 1/24 build date.
I got lucky. They had 1 TRD sport on the lot the first time I went to the dealer. I just wanted to drive one, wasn't really prepared to buy. So after the test drive the salesman said we just dealer traded for a Limited and it is being cleaned up from a road trip if I would be interested at...
Mine is a Limited so not any options really. MSRP $55,687. OTD price $52,091. I'm in Oklahoma where you are not required to pay excise tax and tag at the time of sale. You have 60 days to pay those at an independent tag agency including about a dozen Indian tribes that issue tags.
