I already checked the gaps myself. First of all the tires on TH and Pro are « small » 33s. They are smaller in all dimensions than the competition which uses 285/70/17.
Secondly, from the gap, I would say 35x11.5 should fit depending on wheel offset. And 295/70r18 should be no pbm.
Lol then on 10h road trips she will be “wait you want my help with the drive? That’s your truck”
Yeah I am not interested in the Ranger other than a Raptor. At the price of a Premium TRD Offroad for better capability than a Pro it’s great. I agree the engine is not my choice as well.
Can’t...
Yep, when switching driver daily with a wife that is a foot shorter, it’s a pain.
Hard to understand when the competition (new Colorado and Ranger) offer it while being much cheaper. Just like 4A. 4A is even more weird because they included it with the Limited. So it’s not like it was some...
For me, it’s more the lack of memory seat (we switch with my wife almost daily) and the lack of 4A on all but the limited trim (why in the world would they remove 4A on the Pro/trailhunter if it’s available in the Limited) that bother me
Heads up of some of those like swaybar disco are already...
I went there and looked at it and went inside the ZR2 and the 2024 Ranger.
The Tacoma looks to have significantly less rear legroom than both, with the Ranger having the best rear legroom.
Ranger looks ugly (IMO only the Raptor version looks good).
Tacoma and ZR2 both looked good.
54K for a...
can confirm. I currently have 4A and use it all the time especially when it snows and you have patch of snow everywhere but still mixed pavement with no snow. Invaluable and I am still considering buying something else than the Taco in part because of this, especially when they charge much more...
I found the best data so far in the video below.
They CAT weight a 2024 Limited and GVWR - measured weight (tank of gas was not completely full) = 1500 lbs, let’s assume it was missing a few gallons and we are right there with what Billy calculated for the Off Road in the post above (1450 lbs)...
Awful review.
Their conclusion:
If you need more space and/or more towing capability get a Tundra. If you need a smaller and cheaper vehicle get a Tacoma. Wow, who would have thought?
Not even a mention of seating comfort. So they will speak again how the Tundra has more room in the rear...
Let me correct that for you: the *3rd GEN* Tacoma is the benchmark in reliability.
We know nothing about the reliability of the 4th Gen, and if the new tundra is any indication, it does not look pretty.
New platform, new powertrain, new tech and electronics. What could go wrong?
Thanks to...
if a Fully loaded Off road gets 1450 and a Fully Loaded Trailhunter gets 1250 I will also eat my criticism about payload.
CR numbers could be wrong and so at this point our next best shot is to get a photo of the door sticker of a Trailhunter and see. The Iforce max will be quite heavier but at...
I can guarantee you the 1200lbs is for a bare bone TRD Offroad and not a fully loaded one. Expect the fully loaded version with 1000lbs or less.
Hybrid might get a bit more because 18in wheels support bigger brakes.
i agree on the tank disappointment, but if the hybrid also gets 18g it won’t be...
Can you send a link or something? I haven’t seen memory seat mentioned anywhere in the specs, and it’s not in the owner manual either, so I am very surprised you are confident it has memory seats.
I know nothing more than what the Program Chief Engineer publicly said. I just happened to have watched every interview he gave. Sorry you don’t like me reporting the information here!
Not at all similar. The desert boss is a ridiculous package that was only available for 2023 launch year with useless accessories at a high price. It’s discontinued for following years. If someone bought that packaged they got screwed, pretty much the same way Toyota is trying to screw us here...
This is not correct. The Chief Engineer for the Tacoma said up to 1700.
This is once again not correct. The chief engineer for the Tacoma said up to that number on the Iforce max. This basically means the most bare bone Tacoma with 0 option that has the Iforce max will get this payload number...
