right, stupid question of the day comes from me. So I’ve looked in the owners manual and all the other books that came with the truck and I’ve only found that the smaller square is the microphone. These two squares are on both the driver side and passenger. The back has the bigger square but no...
I’ve got an odd theory that this happening to trucks coming out of the Guanajuato plant. So far only one person has told me they’re having this issue and their truck came out of the Baja plant. But the other 99.9% that have had this issue come from the Guanajuato plant.
The date I have is 01/24. VIN starts with 3TM. Mine was the 374th built outta that plant. I have the TRD Sport. I just wanna figure out why only a select few are having this happen.
My theory is the plant that the trucks came from. A lot of the trucks having this issue start with 3TY. These trucks come from the Guanajuato plant. So far my theory is seems to be true.
I’ve read, heard and seen that some connections need to be replaced because they weren’t connected properly and got damaged by water. Others just needed to be connected properly because they weren’t connected correctly at the plant. Perhaps that’s why so many went on QC hold.
I’ve got a running theory based on this thread, other threads, Facebook groups and videos. It seems that this shutter issue seems to be effecting trucks with the VIN 3TY, which are trucks built in Guanajuato. So far I’ve asked others who have had this issue there first three of their VIN and I...
The S should actually be a 5. My bad. The issue is that the “check digit” is still a letter when it should be a number and you have an F at the end of the VIN. The last 6 will only be numbers.
I got a TRD Sport w/ Premium Package. It’s a 4x4 but does not have the multi-terrain feature. That’s an OR and up feature. I do have the multiple camera angles. One in the front, one in the back, one on watch side mirror and two by the upper brake light. One camera is for the rear view mirror...
The Tacoma has a lot of the safety features with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. I don’t use them all though. I had them on for the first couple of weeks to test. The lane center feature only works when you have adaptive cruise control active and you’re using it. The lane assist feature is not and...
Hey. Thanks for asking for update. So far I’m still loving the truck. There are some minor bugs in the trucks software for the cluster but it’s mainly just the screens changing on their own from how you set it up. It’s a small thing that bugs me but I’m sure once more people make noise about it...
I saw on the Toyota app that you can do OTA software updates. I’m not sure though if that’s just for the infotainment only or for both. My wife has a Kia and it’s got a digital cluster and they had to the software update at the dealer. Toyota could be different though. Not sure.
