i use the 120V/2400W inverter to charge my camper battery while I am driving, then use the camper battery for living at camp. a 500Whr power station (about $300 bucks) would charge in 15 minutes of driving and would power a normal TV for several hours.

yeah. i installed the DD bed scene lights. i like them. i am going to move them from the bed rails and mount on the outside of the Tune M1 so i have Trailhunter-like scene lighting tied to the OEM cab switch.

thanks, we love the set up too. 23 mpg before the Tune. a mix of highway, gravel, and 4x4 roads 20 mpg after the Tune. a mix of highway, gavel, and beach -- and trying to keep it under 65 mph on the highway. mpg drops like a brick as highway speed climbs.

@rchrds -- nice! about a month ago, i got a Tune M1 topper/camper put on my OR. no issue with the rail clamps, but have your same issue with the tailgate bump--always have to close the tailgate first to the camper flap sits correctly.

@Lets_Taco_Bout_It -- hard to see how an extra 600 lbs curb weight is leading to a 7 mpg deduction. maybe, i guess. is your vin in the transmission TSB? (mine is). there has been some correlation between unexplained low mpg and transmission issues. just a guess. probably not. but it is out there.

i have logged every fill up since i bought it in august. now at 5K+ miles. a mix of highway, country, gravel, and 4x4 roads. across all of that I have averaged 23.0 mpg. OR hybrid. i took off the front dam. i think that cost me about 1 mpg.

take the foot off the pedal and the gas engine typically turns off (when in 2H) and the electric motor is never on when the foot is off the pedal. at that point, no power is being transferred to the drive train. so the second oil pump is electric powered.

bumping this tread for anyone watching -- so the OEM compressor that comes with the TH is available -- there are a few in shops around the country. but it is $1250 for the part and an unknown amount to install -- maybe another $800. too much. seems crazy to have 2400W available in the bed and...
