A brand new vehicle, I can expect some minor problems, maybe. But a complete transmission replacement? No way I'm accepting that on a $50,000 plus vehicle. Cancel the contract and refund my money. I'll go home, regroup, and maybe come back in 2025 when they got these things figured out.
Like most others on here, I got a 3 month trial of Sirius with my 2024. The trial has now lapsed because I'm fine with Spotify. How do I delete the Sirius stations from the infotainment screen? Anything I do, the 'subscribe to Sirius' box pops up.
I'd be happy with an aftermarket plastic plate, similar to what most cars have under there. The current felt/plastic plate has little air scoops that are going to collect snow and ice this winter.
Never heard of reversible sunshades where the black is out for the winter. Wonder if that really works to keep snow and ice (obviously daytime only) off of the windows.
A few posts mention 'thermal cycling' during break-in. It's currently summer, but I wonder if turning the heater on max every so often if your bringing your new truck home on the highway would help with this cycling. You would be dumping excess heat from the engine.
I have a straight 8 mile street on the way to the grocery store. Whenever it rains, I put the truck into 4Hi and that fulfills (in my mind) exercising the 4W drive system. No harm done, well maybe mpg, possibly.
I thought 4wd was supposed to be engaged at least once a month for a few miles to keep things lubricated. I realize that it should be under slippery conditions, ie. sand or snow, but I thought it was also OK if you were just driving straight with no turns on dry pavement.
On the top of the truck there is a mounting point on each corner for a roof rack. They are covered with a plastic strip. Make sure you have all of them. Mine was missing the one over the driver door, which I'm still trying to get from the dealer since May.
