From my previous experience involving a Ford dealer and a manual transmission, I'm not a fan of flushing any transmission that's under normal operating conditions and working correctly.
I feel flushing is worthwhile when a transmission has been damaged and being replaced. Clearing the lines and...
I do not have a specific part or vendor recommendation.
I noticed from the maps you don't appear to be near any major city. I don't know if you have a family member or friend that could coordinate with you in taking the truck for a period of time to a shop.
I would consider reaching out to any...
Checking mine just now, I didn't notice any. The frame and many of the supports have been put together as one unit, the entire assembly then powder coated. Tons of yellow chalk marks.
They may be tool marks left from the factory. But I suspect they are more from shipping and transport...
Glad to read no permanent damage was done.

As you continue comparisons, I'd ask the dealer the details of the PPF and tint.
What brand and thickness of PPF has been installed? The thickness of PPF is measured in mils, or thousandths of an inch. Something 8-10 mil would be welcome. If possible, study the truck from end-to-end and around...
Without reading the contracts, it seems like the offer is $700 for two oil changes, two tire rotations.
Studying one site, https://exploresetoyota.com/toyoguard/ , the interior and exterior cosmetic protection is someone in the back with a $4 bottle of something, spraying that inside and...
The factory glass is dyed. It's colored glass.
There are patterns called "quench marks" which can appear in auto glass. These are patterns in tempered panes that will be present from new. But the shapes are mechanical in appearance, like a cookie cutter. Yours, they look like something...
I'm attaching an excerpt from the owners manual. There are multiple pages which discuss wireless charging alone. Standards, capabilities, limitations, requirements and t-shooting. One of those requirements does involve cameras and how far they protrude from the camera body.
I'm enclosing some threads which discuss pricing.
In my area, 5-10% off sticker for almost any vehicle is common.
I have a TRD Sport, Automatic Transmission, 14" screen, heated seats, Rigid lights, black exhaust tip.
I received close to 8% off. Dealer add-ons: 0. Doc fees: 0. They were a...
TacomaWorld (TW) https://www.tacomaworld.com/
Attached is an excerpt from the owners manual. See column one, at the bottom.
Reads that the truck cannot be locked while in Accessory mode or On.
It does not mention using the physical key; that might be an option.
Edit,
Notice the comment on...
With respect to the ordering process, Ford and Toyota are two different animals.
With Ford, one can sit down, pick and choose options, secure an allocation, with the truck then built as asked.
With Toyota, it's not really ordering something to be built. It's more of a request with the hope it...
Break-in complete. 1015 mi / 1633 km.
Did first oil change today. Installed Fumoto drain valve.
For those that DIY but have not done an oil change yet, some tips:
- Fashion an oil drain "slip 'n slide" to guide the oil into the drain pan. I used cardboard covered with tin foil. The oil does...

Maybe this is the drain hose?
Hi @bsquaredMTB,
Where you able to confirm the hose you photographed is for the A/C drain?
TIA.
From a design perspective, I would have likened Toyota to use a door without a finger lift, that worked on contact. Press-in and release to unlatch. Press closed to latch. The finger lift detracts from the body lines and looks clunky.
If the desire for a locking door is to mitigate against...
I do not recommend the BMS can.

I am now can-free.
Edit,
Some of us drive our trucks in ways that involve high pitch or roll. For those with a can, it would be worthwhile to check and empty before...

As of 01 Jul 2026, the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) is under review; this may not be the only factor driving Toyota's announcement, but I'm sure it contributed to...
The following document might be of help.
The attached lists battery cases by group number, CCA rating, physical size and displays their post locations.
Battery Council International (BCI), authored the doc; they are a trade organization for batteries in the US.
