  1. Oem light bar wiring question for TRD Pro + Trailhunter peeps

Hey guys, I’m trying to swap out my oem light bar with something that has a more useful beam pattern than the stock one. I know the oem bar is on CANBUS so removing it would lose the functionality of the high beam toggle (but that’s not a big deal for me as I’d rather have a light that’s...
  2. Dobinsons C59-823V coil springs installed on Trailhunter with 800lbs constant weight, 2.5" positive rake

Yeah the 821s might be a bit squishy for you then! If I carried bikes or anything of substance off my hitch, I’d maybe want one level up from these since most of my weight is in the rear right now (I don’t have a winch or anything going on up front). As it sits right now, these are perfect for...
  3. Dobinsons C59-823V coil springs installed on Trailhunter with 800lbs constant weight, 2.5" positive rake

Here are some pics of the front and rear (measurement taken from the center of the wheel ~ I think that’s the proper way to do these(?) but I snapped a pic of each from the ground too just in case.) I have the oem 18” wheels and e load Toyo at3 265/70s I’m pretty much at full load out weight...
  4. Dobinsons C59-823V coil springs installed on Trailhunter with 800lbs constant weight, 2.5" positive rake

It’s still shamefully messy back here but, this is what my interior is like with ~12” tall drawers. Hope that helps a bit! And yes I’ve seen a lot of owners run SUPs and kayaks on their roof without a problem!
  5. Dobinsons C59-823V coil springs installed on Trailhunter with 800lbs constant weight, 2.5" positive rake

That’s not it! I’m not sure if it’s listed on their site by itself actually. I just emailed them about it and they set up a separate invoice for me. If you look at the “gen 4 kit” they sell with a tailgate lip and the flanges and seals it’s in there, but I didn’t need the entire kit so I asked...
  6. Dobinsons C59-823V coil springs installed on Trailhunter with 800lbs constant weight, 2.5" positive rake

Oh that’s awesome! I’m sure whatever you end up building will look gorgeous. Once I’m back home I can snap a photo of my drawers for you (just won’t be until the end of the week now). Side cabinets are nice and probably better for mobility with the center aisle being lower. The main reason I...
  7. Dobinsons C59-823V coil springs installed on Trailhunter with 800lbs constant weight, 2.5" positive rake

Sure thing! I won’t be able to sit and do this for a few days but not a problem. They really are such nice coils though. The ride difference has been night and day for me
  8. Dobinsons C59-823V coil springs installed on Trailhunter with 800lbs constant weight, 2.5" positive rake

Won’t be able to take pics for a few days but basically I have a set of black-carpeted wood drawers back there (resembling decked system for overall dimensions!) with a fridge slide that tilts (but sits flush) on top, and I LOVE them. Heavy though. So not efficient, or a necessity by any means...
  9. Dobinsons C59-823V coil springs installed on Trailhunter with 800lbs constant weight, 2.5" positive rake

I have the same setup as you - almost. (6’ bed for me, but otherwise identical! Love the LP) I ended up with the 821s so a little less stiff I think? They’ve been great and my truck looks like it did stock. Or damn near close to it. I think we are running a similar constant load? My drawers...
  10. Warranty issues with “mods” + fresh new recall woes

That’s totally okay honestly. I’d still like them to check it out. I’m happy to explain it to them and everything (it’s literally one cable acting like an extension cord so it’s really simple!) but they’re kind of just holding up their hands and saying no which is unfortunate. I guess for that...
  11. Warranty issues with “mods” + fresh new recall woes

Thank you this is very helpful! I couldn’t remember the name of the law. I guess I can show up later today and just read this to them lol. That’ll be fun. But this does validate that they definitely should check and make sure all my cables for my camera are properly insulated in the cab and...
  12. Warranty issues with “mods” + fresh new recall woes

Hey y’all! how do you guys interface with Toyota over warranty claims? if they’re giving you crap about “mods” I’m dealing with an internal computer freakout on my trailhunter rn (anybody who has a fourth gen Tacoma needs to look up the new recall ASAP because I’m pretty sure that’s what...
  13. Help prepping/removing bedrail caps with scene lights

Not removing them sorry! Just taking off the rails then putting them back on real quick to seal up the bed a bit more.
  14. BedRug Classic Liner - Installed

Great call on the sleeping pad. I’m going to give that a try for sure on my tailgate. Maybe with an old yoga mat or something. Depends on what’s in my garage right now. And yes! Joes sticky stuff (aka clear butyl) is absolutely amazing. I use it at work every day ~ albeit for a very different...
  15. Help prepping/removing bedrail caps with scene lights

Thanks for the pic! I’m hoping to try this either this weekend or the following weekend. I’ve been trying to get my hands on an install doc/PDF from Toyota but so far nothing yet. Would you mind giving your service manager a nudge? I’d appreciate it! All good if not. I’m fairly confident I can...
  16. Help prepping/removing bedrail caps with scene lights

Oh good to know! I don’t really have a relationship with a service manager or anything since this is my first Toyota and I’m less than 5k into this thing. I’ll try cold calling somewhere if I can tomorrow but I wouldn’t say no to a PDF! I’m glad this doesn’t seem too crazy to do. Phew.
  17. Help prepping/removing bedrail caps with scene lights

I have a camper install coming in six weeks and I’d like to pop off my bed rail plastic caps to seal the bejesus out of my bed. In theory I should be able to gently do this with a pry tool(?) ~ but I’m worried about the scene lights and wiring harnesses getting yoinked. Has anyone with a...
  18. HEADS UP display - how do you like yours?

Trailhunter :) that’s dope you could do the whole cluster up there. I wish google maps integrated the way Apple Maps does. Ah well
  19. HEADS UP display - how do you like yours?

I like it! I wish I could see my turn directions on it when using google maps in CarPlay, but that’s not really a big deal. My phones right there so I’m good. However, this is the first time I’ve ever had a HUD period so I also just don’t know what I’m missing feature wise in general. What...
  20. 2024 vs 2025

Same! Mine was built in September. I think they got on the transmission thing early so late 24MY should be in the clear. I think the only change for 2025 is paint colors (mud bath + terra moving to other trims) and maybe some slight alterations to what they offer for aftermarket accessories.
