  1. Card key style keyfob for 2024 Tacoma - first look!

This is correct, with the tesla card you have to place the card near the B-pillar to lock/unlock the door and you must place the card on the center console to drive the vehicle. In some ways the Toyota card is superior, you don't even have to take it out or your wallet! I think the Toyota...
  2. Key Fob Slim Key with TRD Off-Road?

Yes I have since determined that the card-key does both unlock the truck and enables starting of the truck, I should have updated my online comments. I think the Bluetooth aspect of Toyota phone app was somehow interfering at the time. Anyway, I really think the card-key is a big win for...
  3. I can not recommend the 2024 Tacoma, buyer beware

Thanks for your comment. I would like to just to highlight in my post that Toyota has the parts and building new trucks with the parts but is choosing not to make the parts available to existing customers. Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately because the Tacoma has been updated, the...
  4. I can not recommend the 2024 Tacoma, buyer beware

Lesson learned. Although, I'm car junky and buy new cars almost yearly and I've never had this experience before.
  5. I can not recommend the 2024 Tacoma, buyer beware

Do Not Buy this Truck. To anyone considering purchasing the 2024 Tacoma please consider that if your truck needs basic repairs or parts you may have to wait 3 to 6 months for the parts. On my personal 2024 Tacoma I was rear-ended with the tailgate down. The body shop needs the tailgate handle...
  6. New meaning to "bells and whistles"

It could be the direct and port injection. They are definitely sounds I've never heard from an engine before. LOL I'll try to record the sound once the engine is cold again, maybe tomorrow morning.
  7. New meaning to "bells and whistles"

Once the truck cools down I'll try to record a video and capture some on the sounds. Maybe tomorrow morning.
  8. New meaning to "bells and whistles"

I know we usually use the term "bells and whistles" when we are saying we want all options on our truck. But, my truck especially when cold upon initial startup I literally can hear bells and rattling. Is anyone else experiencing these strange noises from their 4th gen Tacoma?
  9. UPDATE 4th Gen Tacoma Maintenance Maps & Trackers [Version 1.0 Available]

Also lug nuts for Gen4 Tacoma are the same as the Tundra, 14mm I would love to have a maintenance map, great work! thank you
  10. Key Fob Slim Key with TRD Off-Road?

I hope I'm wrong about the Card-key not being able to start the truck but I have not be able to get it to start. I'm talking about Card-key only without FOB or your phone being anywhere near the truck. Looking forward to hearing about other experiences.
  11. First mods for your 2024 Tacoma 4th gen?

can anyone confirm that the lug nuts on the 2024 Tacoma are now the same as the Tundra 14mmx1.5 ?
  12. 1,000 mile road trip in a 2024 TRD Off-Road -- Impressions

I've only driven 200 miles in my longest trip thus far but my impressions are very similar. (I have a 2024 TRD Off-Road) I think the seats are going to be a dirt magnet and I will be looking into getting seat covers. I also agree with the gas tank size does not help with range. Way to small gas...
  13. Key Fob Slim Key with TRD Off-Road?

The card-key will only unlock your doors. You have to use the app to start the truck before entering the vehicle. It's kind of strange, not exactly a substitute to the key fob. Maybe there is something I don't understand.
