Key Fob Slim Key with TRD Off-Road?

I hope I'm wrong about the Card-key not being able to start the truck but I have not be able to get it to start. I'm talking about Card-key only without FOB or your phone being anywhere near the truck. Looking forward to hearing about other experiences.

My Toyota card unlocks the doors and starts the truck. I think it also opens the tailgate.

Yes I have since determined that the card-key does both unlock the truck and enables starting of the truck, I should have updated my online comments. I think the Bluetooth aspect of Toyota phone app was somehow interfering at the time.
Anyway, I really think the card-key is a big win for Toyota. Drivers who don't like to have a large bulky set of keys in their pocket will appreciate the option of using the card-key. The signal between the truck and card-key is strong enough that you don't even have to remove the card from your wallet to interact with the truck. Big WIN!

Picked up my OR Premium today and it came with 2 key fobs and a credit card sized fob. Also once you register the truck on the app you can dowload and activate a digital key which used your phone with the app on in background as a key as well. (it is part of the remote package trial for one year)

Is it only for the premium for the credit card fob

Yes, my card key is in my wallet and I touch the door handle to unlock the truck get in ouch the brake pedal and push the start button and it starts. Key fob’s are in the house and are only use when I take the truck in for service. I you can not do that take it back to the dealer and have them fix it.
