I can agree with that.
Sucks to have the "bubba" lift and a well designed and professionally installed lift fall into the same category insurance wise.
I wonder about the trucks that come with a dealer installed TRD lift which doesn't come standard from the factory.

Are the modifications legal? If so I don't think they should be able to deny insurance. I had a sport bike which would go nearly 200mph on two wheels, I had insurance on it.

My insurance is still going after State Farm currently. One of their drivers ran into my parked truck, admitted fault in the police report, and they still don't want to pay. I ended up just using my insurance to cover the $8k in damage to the front end.

If I remember correctly. I honestly don't remember how many holes it was, I bought some 3/4" plugs on Amazon for under $10 for a pack that was more than enough to plug them all.
Again, my best advice is switch to 4Hi if you need wheel speed. Traditionally, trophy trucks which race through sand, are 2WD. Use 4Lo when you need the lower gearing
That sounds more like an issue with your son's truck than yours. It should be a very noticeable difference between the two. My old jeep rubicon was geared so low I could tackle most obstacles without touching the gas pedal.
I am on stock suspension running methods +25 with 285/70 R17 tires. No rubbing at all even when off road with wheels tucked.
As far as size, to limit any hit on MPG I would be looking for the lightest tire in those sizes. I personally run the Wildpeak AT4W's and have also heard good things...
