  1. "Rock hit A/C Condenser"?

So apparently installing an aftermarket bumper is best protection? What a shame on Toyota! Based on lack of responses from other Taco owners having experienced rock piercing condenser, sounds I just got unlucky ;-(
  2. "Rock hit A/C Condenser"?

No, charcoal issue was not me LOL...Could the design team and engineers not have figured such exposure is poor design, particularly for an off-road capable truck? And I don't even go off-road beyond our 50 acre farm!
  3. "Rock hit A/C Condenser"?

Has anyone else experienced a/c going out (with under 15k mi) and dealer said no warranty coverage because a rock hit and punctured condenser? I felt scammed on that fix 5 months ago, asked for parts but who knows what shape it was in before they took it out - or even if the part they returned...
  4. New Recall Notice?

Anybody else just get this notice via Carfax? NHTSA: #25V058 Recall: #25TB04 SAFETY RECALL 25TA04 (INTERIM NOTICE 25TB04) - CERTAIN 2024 - 2025 MODEL YEAR TACOMA 4X4 VEHICLES WITH TOYOTA 18? WHEELS AND 2WD VEHICLES WITH 17" AND 18" WHEELS - POTENTIAL LOSS OF BRAKE PERFORMANCE
  5. Easy 20 minute installation of tailgate protective cover from Amazon

Just received mine, pretty basic install I assume since there were no instructions... Does the adhesive around the mat seem strong for long-term wear?
  6. Oil change -- Anyone over 5,000 miles do a 3rd party oil change?

My vote is so your own or find someone you can trust as others have said. Who has 4 hours to waste sitting on dealership waiting on a 20 minute job? BUT, make sure you give them no reason to create warranty arguments, even though we forked over premium dollars and customers should be able to do...
  7. Bed mats? Want to have a mat under my RollNLock cover

No idea why they claim incompatible, maybe moisture retention? I have the OEM mat but with stock bed, it definitely doesn't let anything slide around for sure! Still very pleased with RollNLock....
  8. Defects of Tacooma that everyone should look at

Have same issues with my bed liner frame, bugs me every time I look at it! Drivers is worse of the two but both have gaps, not real thrilled with this kind of fit for premium price.
  9. Tonneau covers for 2024 Tacoma that does NOT leak or leaks very little?

Depends on the style you're looking for, my Rollnlock roll up leaked very little in driving rain this past week... Functions great and has rail slots (XT model) for additional rack needs.
  10. First oil change for 4th gen 2024 Tacoma -- do yours ASAP

I'm considering doing a change myself, curious if there is a way to get record on Carfax?
  11. OEM Trifold Hard Tonneau Cover PT954-35240 installed on 2024 Tacoma

Apologies cannot provide exact measurement at the moment as it is packed for road trip starting tomorrow. I can say as part of packing fit a medium-sized tote up against back under the cover deck.
  12. OEM Trifold Hard Tonneau Cover PT954-35240 installed on 2024 Tacoma

Regarding installation, may have been rookie installer issue but was tricky to get rail measu exactly as spec'ed, cut two boards to measure and tightened rails from there....
  13. OEM Trifold Hard Tonneau Cover PT954-35240 installed on 2024 Tacoma

So far pleased with space it takes up, do like better than the folding options...
  14. BIGGEST COMPLAINT - Excessive Dusty Interior

I'm a little OCD when it comes to vehicle interiors and display screen since you look at all of it while driving and I too noticed dust more quickly than old F150! I also treat surfaces and the shine does highlight the dust particles.
  15. OEM Trifold Hard Tonneau Cover PT954-35240 installed on 2024 Tacoma

Installed RollnLock, made for 24 Taco, for nicely and haven't had a leak (yet)
  16. Passenger side rear speaker extremely low?

Also disappointed in sound levels, on mine sounds like most sound is coming from removable Bluetooth speaker up front....
