Thank you for confirming this. It only made sense after I thought about it. I don't usually monitor the oil level gage so when I saw this happen this evening, I got a little concerned at first. I appreciate everyone's help with this.
This is what I finally figured it must be. Like I was saying, I came from a 2005 Tacoma so I'm still getting used to the engine shutting off randomly and having a hybrid even though it's not your typical hybrid.
Coming from a 2005 Tacoma, this is a totally different beast. I suspect this might be normal being that the engine cuts out and then kicks back on. I just wanted someone else to confirm this so I can feel better and not have to take it back to the dealership in the morning.
Checked the oil level, it might be a little low. I guess what I'm asking is this normal on the dashboard when you come to a stop? It goes back up while driving but drops down to low while stopping.
Just noticed that my oil level might be low. It comes up while driving but drops back down to low while stopping with the engine running. Can someone please let me know if this is normal for the hybrids or did the dealership not put in enough oil at my 10,000 mile service appointment? This is...
Are the leaks something that can be easily sealed with caulking or not going to be easy? I live on the east coast (Virginia) and we deal with all kinds of weather so that would be a little more important to me. This might make me change my mind about the Smartcap. Thank you for your help.
I was thinking on top of the cab but now I might be more interested in the one that sits on top of the Smartcap. It looks like it would be less prone to wind noise with the way it is designed.
Anyone who has a Prinsu pro roof rack can you tell me what you like or dislike about it and if anyone knows yet, is it compatible with a RSI Smart cap? I am leaning heavily on getting one with the possibility of getting the Smart cap later. Thanks for any information you guys have on this.
Another thing I found that helps also is to set your equalizer on your phone, assuming you are streaming music to balanced or keep everything in the middle. I then use the Toyota settings to adjust the treble, midrange, and bass. It's a disappointment in my opinion but the only other option is...
The only thing I have found to kind of help is the Beatsonic amplifier. I hooked it up the first time and didn't think it was doing anything but later found out it was me not havingthe settings right. It just boosts the volume. I also have the fader pushed to the back a couple notches on the...
Someone asked that question on their website and this was the answer:
What is the difference between this and the 2024 Toyota Tacoma Service Manual, both cost the same.

I agree with what you guys are saying - it's a dealership issue (really a service advisor issue), not Toyota to be fair. I definitely won't hesitate to elevate this even above the service manager if needed. I don't think I want to go to another dealership yet being that the other ones are a...
Thanks for the info. I have had this happen once on the driver’s side and once on the passenger side. I told the dealerships about it at my first service appointment and the service advisor acted like I was making up the issue. I told him it had happened to other owners thanks to this forum. He...
Just wanted to pass along to anyone interested in getting the factory manuals, they are currently 20% off at factorymanuals.net with discount code: 20DOWNUS. Hope this helps anyone that likes to be able to work on their trucks.
Hey everyone, I bought my Trailhunter back in August and was wondering how many pigtails came with the truck? I found these 2 bags of pigtails. For some reason, I thought there were more. Thanks for any help with this.
This happened to me this morning. We had our coldest temperature outside yet and I went out to my Trailhunter. The driver seat back was all the way down to the rear seat
Update on this: I checked every fuse on the truck except for the ones hidden under the passenger side kick panel area. There is a panel marked airbag and below that panel is another panel that has the interior cabin fuses. Low and behold, one was blown. I believe it was marked panel. This fixed...
