  1. Bed Squeaking (Solved)

Nice find! If this solves my newly developed squeak I'll be crediting you in a video
  2. Sneak Peek: A-Pillar Grab Handles for 4th Gen Tacoma (by Carlimeki) – What Do You Want to See?

I have been hoping for something like this. My initial input is if I was presented with a finger groove option and a full grip option I'd be choosing the latter. Something to grab and wrap my fingers fully around (and through) for confidence. Additionally, it can't creak excessively, and should...
  3. Rough Country Hidden Winch Bumper - IMPROVED

I had one insignificant bolt in the bumper that didn’t want to line up. Other than that it’s a win in every possible way for me.
  4. Thoughts on no engine cover and exposed wires, etc.

It does not. Identical under the hood to our trucks.
  5. Thoughts on no engine cover and exposed wires, etc.

I was not at fan at first. After realizing how obvious and accessible every single part of this engine is I am in love. It's the easiest taco to work on in the six I've owned across three gens.
  6. Anyone done this larger cup holder yet?

I've got no dog in this fight, no affiliate commission or anything. I just think Andrew (ZP owner)is a great guy with a great small business. I loved his 3rd gen upgrade and ran it for years as well. With that said, I honestly have zero complaints about the upgraded holder. I user it...
  7. Anyone done this larger cup holder yet?

Yes and it’s fantastic. I’ve been working with Andrew of Z Precision. Great guy and great company.
  8. Rough Country Hidden Winch Installed on TRD Pro. No Cutting Necessary!

Man BEAUTIFUL setup. I love how you routed around the painted metal rather than how I drilled through it. Super clean setup and great pics!
  9. UPDATE 4th Gen Tacoma Maintenance Maps & Trackers [Version 1.0 Available]

Generally I don’t make a separate tracker for the manual transmission as it’s only one of the multiple tasks that are different. Couple that with a tiny percentage of 2024s being MT most MT guys just know this and don’t bother. Sorry not the answer you’re looking for. I’m not saying it won’t...
  10. Rough Country Hidden Winch Bumper - IMPROVED

What a SOLID update! I’m sure quite a few owners like you are going to get great use out of that. You going to run an extension like I did to get to the clutch lever?
  11. Spark Plug Mystery 🔍

Yeah I was a bit surprised how quickly NGK told me that, granted I only appeared as a typical curious consumer to them
  12. Spark Plug Mystery 🔍

Just got off the phone with the NGK tech team. After going up a couple rungs on the corporate ladder I was told Toyota indeed does control them in the aftermarket department and is the approving authority on releasing them for the aftermarket. They told me verbatim aftermarket release “has been...
  13. Spark Plug Mystery 🔍

Ah fair fair. Yeah I smell a temporary embargo. Consumers deserve better. Possibly a few tacos have hit this and im sure although less likely to DIY, many Highlander and Lexus owners are already needing plugs. 40k mark comes quick for some. Add: you can also see 90919-a1008 bleed into eBay a...
  14. Spark Plug Mystery 🔍

The ones you linked @StreeTaco were not gonna fit. What led you to them?
  15. Spark Plug Mystery 🔍

They are simply unfindable from any parts store for any vehicle with the 2T4A-FTS. Highlander, NX, RX, Tacoma, autozone, oreillys, advanced, Amazon, not available. I’m going to dig a bit deeper tomorrow.
  16. Spark Plug Mystery 🔍

Thanks brother. I’ve looked every other week or so since August. Even NGKs site doesn’t list the plug (or any fitting plug for that matter) and they make the dang thing. Here’s a couple pics from our manuals:
  17. Spark Plug Mystery 🔍

Im team oil drop. I make DIY videos and maintenance maps for us. Or some goofy reason like that ?
  18. Spark Plug Mystery 🔍

The same way the world has always worked. Money. Term contracts in agreement to use their product in particular engines. That’s clear. New cars don’t have very many DIYers so it’s a win for parts manufacturers and dealers while costing the consumer. Obviously this is temporary, but for how long...
