I actually didn’t drill it. Going to see if there’s any flexing or anything before I decide if I’m going to. I most likely will drill the two holes. Seemed solid with just the one bolt in the hood. With the way the struts mount and the brackets, it really doesn’t seem like it’s needed.
I picked one up from harbor freight for like $139. Looks the same. The small utility trailers at work are too low for the new taco. Never thought I’d need a drop down for a mid size truck. Lol
I just got done installing mine. Their directions suck. You’ll need an m12 socket for the bolts and a m5 Allen wrench. One thing they don’t tell you, you can’t have the prop rod in when you put the struts on. The struts won’t allow you to lift the hood enough to remove the oem prop. You can rest...

Just turn off the PDA feature. It stays off permanently. My sales rep said he disabled it in his car but to give it a shot. It was the first thing I turned off.
I went with the sport because I prefer the painted fenders. I also like the hood scoop, makes it look more aggressive. I also don’t off-road and wouldn’t want to in a truck this expensive. I absolutely love it. That being said, I don’t think you can go wrong with either of them.
