Not sure Iām totally following you guysā¦.but with my kill switch, if I have it activated and I push the start button to try to start the truck, nothing happens. Silence. Push the button to deactivate and starts right up. Itās very straight forward, on, no start, off, truck starts like normal.
A tow truck and itās gone I guess š. Did forget to mentionā¦.discount on the insurance paid for the kill switch so maybe no further ahead but no further behind either.
I would imagine no system is absolutely full proof. I have a kill switch installed. My understanding is it uses rolling RF codes (changes every time) which would require specialized gear to capture and is not very common. It also doesnāt constantly broadcast like the Toyota fob. As a result, the...
Interesting. So the amp was draining the battery somehow? My battery went completely dead after a week in the garage. Dealership said that was totally normal nowadays. They checked the battery and sent me on my way. Makes me wonderā¦
Iāve had these vibrations in my TRD Pro since new, between 70-80km/hr. My dealer usually isnāt very helpful when I raise issues. Anyone else having this issue with their Pro?
So I can confirm. Put the truck on the Nocco Genius 10 for 61 days under the hood at the jump point. Started up no problem and everything seems fine. Went for a drive and no issues.
Iāve jumped out of the truck and tried to find the source of the smell from the outsideā¦.never seem to smell anything. Only on the inside as if itās being directed into the cabin? I get it, once youāre out of the truck and itās not moving, smell could easily dissipate. Love for someone to...
The sales guy
The sales guy (who I know) and who has worked for Toyota for 30yrs told me it would be ok. I read what the owners manual said as well. Went with his advice and have set it up this way 4 times now for up to 6 weeks. No issues. Worked fine, truck started right up. First trip I took...
Iāve had no trouble starting since my dead battery issue because I always put a battery maintainer on it now when I wonāt be driving it for more than a few days. Just wanted to clarify. Also, Toyota told me this happens all the time with new cars and recommended the battery maintainer when not...
You are probably right. The fluctuations are probably related to the load on the system or something. Iāve had mine go dead after sitting for 2wks which doesnāt breed confidence. But you are right, I havenāt paid attention to that gauge for a while and probably shouldnāt š.
Edit:
Noticed an interesting thing while on a trip today. Was on a major highway doing 125km/hr-135km/hr. 12v Battery gauge read right in the middle of the gauge the whole time, which I hadnāt noticed before. Honestly, I havenāt looked at it in a while. When I went onto a secondary road and had...
