Are you using the reverse relay? Both only have 3 pins versus the 4 on the OEM relay. I press the on button a couple times out of habit and it seems to be working great
yes I tried the reverse one first since that’s what I was using in the 4R. If I kill the switch with the fob and then turn it to on and try to start it seems like it’s trying but it won’t actually start the engine

If i forget to turn it back on before starting it takes a bit to reset and let me try to start the truck, i click the on button a couple times and open and close the door with the ignition off and it comes back to life for me

interesting! Will have to give it another shot. I was thinking maybe the hybrid used a diff relay or needed a 4 pin one. Thanks!

Not sure I’m totally following you guys….but with my kill switch, if I have it activated and I push the start button to try to start the truck, nothing happens. Silence. Push the button to deactivate and starts right up. It’s very straight forward, on, no start, off, truck starts like normal.

My truck gets cranky when the relay doesn't work right away

It’s a hybrid thing. I moved it over to another 2026 gas taco and no issues. Guess they should update their site to give more details.
