I also am leaning towards it more after all the helpful information here. My main concern right now is the possibility of the shocks in the kit being a downgrade from the stock Offroad shocks.
Oh really? That was my misconception I guess as I was never in a situation to see one in person side by side. Good to know! I am kind of torn though as I want to do the lift kit, but also want to put on the Fox suspension from the Pro as well lol.
So understanding that the UCAs included in the kit are essentially the TRD PROs recolored, would it be reasonable to assume that this kit more or less puts you equal to a TRD Pro suspension in height and all, minus the adjustable Fox shocks?
I do not unfortunately. When I had the parts guy run the numbers, he just confirmed that the TRD offroad, TRD Pro, and stand-alone TRD part numbers were all different.
Hello all! I'm honestly shocked this hasn't been asked already here, unless I'm just blind.
Was curious if putting TRD Pro front and rear struts on a TRD Offroad would be a direct swap, or if there would be more involved(control arms and such).
For reference if it matters, I have a 24 TRD Off...
It was parts counter and I am friends with the parts manager over there(I work at a different brands parts department). I gave him the VIN to my truck and he gave me part number for the TRD part for my truck.
I am currently running the TRD tailpipe and mid-pipe. I am told it is different from both the tailpipe and mid-pipe that came on my TRD offroad premium, and different from the stock tailpipe and mid-pipe on a TRD Pro. What is different about them other than part number I can not speak on however...
So I was running a Stillen cold-air since early Summer(very similar to the Sxth Element), and just started getting error codes every other day. Had at the dealership a few times, and unfortunately, the intake was the issue. I'm not sure what changed since I went a few months with no lights, but...
So I can't speak 100%, but going the other way(having a Hybrid and trying to go aftermarket), all aftermarket exhausts seem to work on both with the exception of the Magnaflow models that have the extra resonator up front.
The Hybrid powertrain is a bit longer, so that extra resonator just...
Selling my slightly used Stillen exhaust. Had it on the truck for about a month and well under 1000 miles. I loved it initially, but decided I'm old and not a fan of it on the highway for long periods.
Exhaust is catback side exit with black tip. It is a very well made setup, just not for me...
Hard to say on that one. I would like to say the internal difference I showed makes a difference over stock mid pipe. However I never did the step of only doing the rear pipe by itself, and then adding the midpipe swap later. It is definitely more aggressive than it was stock, and looks much...
Sorry for the delay in coming back to this. I did install the other weekend and absolutely love it! Has a nice growl on start up and idle, as well as a nice tone when getting on it, without being obnoxious. Obviously the price of the whole catback setup comes to more than the average aftermarket...
I had a Stillen on before, but could not stand the drone on the highway. Everything else I like about it. I really wanted to do the Magnaflow Overland, but it didn't fit the hybrid and they gave no answer on if they would make one on the hybrid. I think for now, this TRD is my best option until...
I didn't install yet, but hopefully this weekend if the weather holds out. I'll come back with the verdict. I would hope a little deeper than stock with no drone.
Hey all, I have this posted in another thread, but I thought I'd make it more easily accessible for anyone looking.
I have a TRD Offroad hybrid and was looking at the TRD center pipe and rear pipe assemblies. I couldn't find an answer to the differences in the midpipe, so just decided to buy...
