That makes sense, they do look like the Diode Dynamics ones. I know it's a little bit less light output, but I prefer the look of these smaller rectangular light pods over the larger square ones.
Awesome set up man! Great wheel/tire combo too. I'm curious, what ditch lights are you running? Did you buy them as a combo with the bracket or each separately? Looking at adding some in the future.
Results are in for the Icons! I went from about 21" in the rear (from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender) to about 23.5". That's with my camper and a most of my gear. I would say that Icons' estimates are accurate. Stock height should be about 23" empty in the rear, and I'm now...
I'm having the Icon overland rear springs installed on Monday to compensate for my 400lb camper and the gear I carry in the back. I was going to go with the Dobinsons, but decided to try something that my local shop could get installed sooner. The Icons are supposed to give you .5" of lift over...
I've had my truck since May 2024 and I'm just now finding out from this thread that these things exist for the Tacomas. So mine did not come with one. Now I want one though.
You may have come across this already, but the Radica Moonlander is all hard sides with no pop-ups. Same with the Kimbo. May not meet your needs for livable space though. You should also check out the Lone Peak if you haven't already. They were the best value I found after searching for a long...
I just realized that Iām missing this trim connector piece on my rear passenger window. Iāve looked at a few different OEM parts suppliers and havenāt been able to find the part number to order a new one. Anyone out there know what the part number is for it? Help is appreciated.
FWIW I've had mine on for a few weeks now (OEM Trail Pipe) after having the stock exhaust on for more than 20,000 miles and I haven't noticed any change in exhaust fumes entering the cab. The noise I noticed, but I'm not bothered by it. It's not significant enough to outweigh the additional...
If you did want to try a lower mount option I've been using THESE low profile bars from Ruff Stuff Specialties for over a year and they've been great. They mount right on the bed so it kept my RTT tucked behind the truck cab which I liked because it was a little more protected and my mileage...
Do you remember which Timbrens you got? I've got a wedge camper being built that's about 400lbs on its own without all the additional gear so I'm thinking these would be a good idea. Also how do you feel about ride quality with them on? Any significant changes?
Do you remember how you went about using the DD harness to wire in your GFC 3rd brake light? I want to do something similar with a wedge camper I'm having built and this harness seems to be the simplest solution I've found so far. Also do you get purely brake light from the DD harness to the GFC...
Did the light cutouts come with the bedrug or did you have to make them yourself? Also, do you think this install would be doable with a shell/cap already on the truck bed? Looks great btw!
Old post revival, but are there accessories that you feel like are a must have on the LP you ordered? I've got a deposit down for one and I'm trying to decide if I want to just order it bare bones and DIY everything or spend the extra money and have them do most of it. Thanks!
I just installed the Icon kit as well. Easy job. I had to use a 14mm flat wrench though because I couldnāt get the regular ratchet to fit in that space. Before installing Iāve had the truck off-road and in sand dunes a few times now and havenāt had any issues aside from the turbo getting really...
Same noise and vibration here with the OR on startup and when engaging the A/C after it's been off. Doesn't seem like anything concerning, but time will tell.
