I know very little about the mechanics of lift kits, but I do know a little bit about tires. For the purposes of looking tough, stick to something in the ~33" range. They can be added without any modification to your truck needed, will give you the look you want, and will add a fair bit of...
I use the credit card key, so to unlock the tailgate means I have to walk around to the door handle to unlock it, then back to the bed to load my items. Certainly not the end of the world, but I'd love to be able to unlock the tailgate from the back of the truck.
I had and still have a MINI Cooper S Clubman. Love it, never getting rid of it.
My wife had an Audi Q5, but we found she was driving the Tacoma so much instead we sold the Audi.
Napier makes truck tents that are pretty inexpensive and get good reviews. I've been meaning since I got my Taco to buy one and try it, but just haven't had time for camping.

Or is that not the style you're looking for? It does have to be...
"GPS" and "maps" are two different things. A GPS device will know where you are (latitude and longitude) without cellular coverage, but unless it also has map data stored locally, it won't show you where you on a map.
Apple Maps and Google Maps both allow you to download maps to use without...
I love it. I don’t think I would option it personally, but I’m so happy colours like this are available as an option. There’s enough boring black, white, and silver cars on the road.
Look, I don't want to go to far down the rabbit hole of politics because that's not what this forum is far, but I think you're off base there.
Auto start/stop has been around since the 70s. It does, demonstrably, save fuel.
Saving fuel and protecting the environment should not be partisan...
Thanks for that.
Maybe I should have phrased my comment differently. I don't believe that start/stop causes unintended wear and tear. Vehicles that have it as a feature are engineered with that in mind, as your link shows.
Do I think start/stop should be able to be turned off in memory? Sure...
I've owned multiple vehicles with auto start/stop, never found it annoying. But to each their own.
I don't buy that it's unsafe or causes extra wear and tear. Idling is terrible for your engine and the environment.
I don't understand how dealerships do this. Happened to me once at Ford. They denied it. My dude. I can pull up the ad on my phone and SHOW it to you, how stupid do you think I am?
Needless to say I ran far away from that "deal".
Off-topic, but what size Airstream are you towing and how does the Tacoma handle it? I've been eyeing them, but my wife is convinced we need something 23' long, and I'm wary, even if it does technically weigh in within the Tacoma's towing capacity...
Yeah, that's why I said I wish there was one button somewhere to turn everything off.
The Ineos Grenadier does this right: when you put it in off-road mode, all the nannies turn off.
My daughter's car seat fits comfortably rear-facing in my Mini Clubman. It does not fit comfortably in the Tacoma, we had to switch her to forward-facing. The cab is definitely tight.
That said, it's been fine for us as a family of four with two kids in car seats. I figure it will work until...
For now, OP can get a winch that slides into the hitch receiver. A lot simpler and lower-cost than a winch-bumper, and leaves that door open down the road if they choose.
