I am getting close to 10k miles and last tank of hwy driving got 21 mpg riding on BFG KO3 AT 265/70R17 (stock size tire)
Driving to work daily, mountain road...... 19mpg
too me, it also appears that there maybe a psi issue also. What width wheel are you using? It is possible that the width of wheel vs the width of tread and the PSI your running could be a cause as well.
I personally would never replace my big truck..... The tacoma is a great daily driver, but will not replace my F350 for real tasks. I have 5 trailer only 2 of which the little truck could tow safely.
trading a mazda cx30 to get into the Tacoma, the interior storage was a huge shock for how...
I went BFG KO3 on my daily driver Tacoma and my F350
I know they were not on your list…….
I drive in Northern Utah and will see a fair amount of snow, all the reviews I have checked out show the bfg to perform better that the 2 you have listed on wet and snowy roads
I have been very happy...
Safelite........ I say stay away.
My last car, installer shattered during removal of old windshield. didnt clean up inside the car, broken glass everywhere. Scratch all the paint around the windshield opening. 1 year old car. I was very unhappy with how they handled.

Dirt,
Did some testing. Put phone in airplane mode Toyota app no longer works, so Toyota‘s version of digital key no longer works. This not a true digital key whereas you have a key within inside your wallet on your phone that would work as other MFG (BMW, Mercedes) where as it is a true...
My watch is not cellular, and the research I did regarding digital key technology with apple phones before I considered a Tacoma, my understanding is the phone or watch are using Bluetooth to connect to the vehicle to replace the key fob.
Key fobs from auto manufacturers are not cellular, they...
2017 Tundra Limited - Had for couple years, traded to get a F350 again.
1984 Toyota SR5 pickup
Still have a F350 PSD for towing anything.
Traded the Mazda CX30 for the Tacoma
I have had air bags on 3 different trucks, 2 of those with on board air compressor. This is the way to go, you will have ability to adjust pressure/ride to your liking while driving. I personally won't go without.
I went with the off-road for the rear locker, a little bummed that it only works in 4L. My other trucks I use a locker all the time in 2WD for quick added traction. I think Toyota missed on this one.
My last Toyota vehicle was a Tundra, limited trim. I like the features of the limited...
Ford 6.7L - why to prefill oil filter
Yet, this engine builder says it is a must to pre fill to save main bearings. This clip is only showing the lengthy route the oil travels, but other videos he times just how long it takes system to pressurize on the test stand.
Cummins says - pre-fill...
Curious, how many miles were on the ODO before you started the trip?
Did you notice a sweet spot MPH wise, and what tires are you running and at what PSI.
thanks
I have never, at any tire shop, not install what I want when I am the one paying. Any good tire guy knows what will fit, and most will even throw one one to check if there is a question what will and will not work
I get they have 'recommended' size from the manufacture, then you can 'UpGrade'...
