Rear springs for extra weight.

I’m planning on putting a Ovs topper on my off-road 5’ bed. Currently have probably 150-200lbs of stuff in there now but more like 400lbs could be expected.
I don’t want to lift it and I don’t really want to change my shocks as I like the stock shocks for now at least. But I’ve found that even going over speed bumps, the rear feels like it’s traveling a lot more than I’d want with the topper + stuff.

anyone have any suggestions for my situation. I don’t mind some rake, it’s a truck, more concerned about over extension of the shocks if I take things out and don’t have the extra weight in the bed to keep things where they should be.

suggestions or options based on experience with similar setups would be super great!

Are Dobson's always “available for back order “ or ?

Both the 819 and 821 are “in stock” on the general list page but back order when you try to add either of any color to the cart.

I literally changed my back shocks to eibachs and that got rid of all my bounce.

I'm carrying a cap, bed slide and a full bed of tools.

I did OME stiffer springs, and it's worked out pretty well with the stock 2024 TRD OR shocks.

I just weighed all my boxes in the bed, bed cover, recovery gear is approx 500lbs. Steath bumper and 12k warn winch, LED Light bar is 200 lbs on the front end. Ya, that rear end bounce/bottoming on the interstate is bugging me. Have been looking at suspension upgrades. Everyones opinion varies, its difficult to know which is the correct set up for me and the ride I am after.
I am kinda leaning towards Dobbison currently.... But will be watching your thread to see what you end up with.

I'm having the Icon overland rear springs installed on Monday to compensate for my 400lb camper and the gear I carry in the back. I was going to go with the Dobinsons, but decided to try something that my local shop could get installed sooner. The Icons are supposed to give you .5" of lift over stock with 600lbs in the back so I'll report back and let you know if that's true or not.

For those that got excited and thought this was about leaf springs, well I talked with Dobinsons Rep at SAVE two weeks ago in Starke, Florida and they are working on leaf springs for the SR and Extended cabs GEN 4

Saw those but I’m concerned about the driver assist recalibration they require. I’ll be doing the install myself and I don’t want to have to do that. I’m not looking for lift, just fixing sag.

gunna throw the topper on it tomorrow. Will see how it goes. Will reevaluate after.

anyone got any insights on the dobsons? Are they always “out if stock” or?
