I never had the 2 inch front lift and 821s on at the same time. After installing the 821s, I regretted it so much cause the rear was so high, I ended up removing them and putting on the 819s. The 819 also picked up the rear but after installing the 2 inch front lift, I was happy.
I did not but the ass was to high even if I had the lift in the front. I have to correct my self, I have a 2 inch lift in the front (not a 1.25). There is an entire conversation in the first 5 pages of this thread that goes over the selection process. You really have to look at how much...
if the "The Eibach 500lb rear spring for a 2024+ Toyota Tacoma is designed ' to provide a 1-inch rear lift when there is an additional 500 pounds of static weight on the vehicle......" with the 1000 lbs you are carrying it should sag.
The dobinsons have 2 options for you depending on how...
I have the spacers on the front, 1 inch bottom, .5 top.. and I love the setup. I would not call it a ban aid solution. It works really well, even when rock crawling... works nicely also when off roading on dirt roads. Yeah the 817s will raise your rear no matter what, since they will act as...
Well, you really need to pay attention to your use case and specially how much weight you plant to carry around. Some have variable weights and opt to include air bags in their setup as they may go from 0 to 1000 pounds when camping with their trucks.
Those of us with a constant weight with...
As my truck stands, with 500 lbs of weight in the rear and with the Dobinsons 819.
Front 22.25
Rear 24.5
With additional 100-200 lbs I expect to be around 22 front and 24 rear. So about 2 inches of rake which I love. It keeps my tail off rocks and obstacles as I wanted.
In comparison, when...
I ended up raising the front with the peak suspension kit. The 2 inch set. The one that has the 1 inch bottom spacer and half inch top spacer. This leveled my truck much better when not fully loaded, but I still have some minor rake but barely noticeable. When I am fully loaded the truck sits...
You will love it. I let my jeeper friend drive my truck off road (fully loaded) the other day and he was very impressed with how smooth the ride was compared to his jeep on 37s. Have fun!!! it is an awesome truck.
I know a couple of owners that have 34s on their OR Tacomas with the stock wheel and 1.5 lift. If you are going with method than you are doing what he is doing which is pretty cool...
I selected based on my weight so the 819s. My constant extra weight is about 400 lbs. With an additional 200 lbs after loading up everything I carry for over landing. I still have a 1.25 lift fully loaded which levels my truck out. I do
I have the dobinsons on my TRD OR with the stock shocks in the rear. The ride is good, love the springs. No need to change them unless you want additional down travel.
There is also more information on the other dobinsons thread on this site. Look for it, lots of gems from several others.

This is not a myth. It is suspension engineering grounded in measurable performance behavior. I have over ten years of off roading experience on Tacomas and regularly ride with experienced Jeep owners on technical terrain. Across platforms, the same suspension principles apply. Spring rate...
There is a whole thread about which dobinson's to put on depending the weight you will be adding to your bed. I had the 821s with only 400 lbs of extra weight on my bed. Although they rode nice, the issue with them is that they are rated for much more weight than I would even carry even when...
It really depends. I do light "off roading" and on occasion had the fortune to run areas with sharp rocks, here in the so cal deserts. I can tell you from experience that a E rated tire will survive damage better than a C rated tire. I have seen big chunks of tire shaved off by the rocks and...
Took the truck back out off roading, this time racing the truck fast down the dirt road with plenty of rocks and holes and I love the suspension. 819s with 400 lbs in the back and the peak suspension 2 inch lift. Ride was very smooth and the modified suspension performed really good. Just an...
With 600 pounds on the 819s the rear sits about 24.55 and the front about 22.50 so about a 2 inch rake. When I am fully loaded, I will be closer to 800 pounds and expect to be around 24 in the back.
The main question for me was "how is the truck going to articulate with the updated suspension...
