  1. Driveshaft Recall Notice

Same as me minus the octane differences since I’ve only ever used 87. That’s exactly how I would describe it, not a side to side as if alignment or wheels were out of balance or any kind of wobble. Vibration that shakes your knee, rattles your drink or my favorite pastime watching the...
  2. Driveshaft Recall Notice

Yup, I was aware of that. As soon as I pulled out of the service garage I pulled right into a spot and popped the hood to check!
  3. Driveshaft Recall Notice

Service Update: Surprise! We weren't able to replicate any vibration or find anything wrong. You were due for a tire rotation which we did, so hopefully that will fix the issue. Otherwise, it's most likely just road conditions. I've been driving just shy of 40 years, have owned over 25...
  4. Driveshaft Recall Notice

I really have to believe it is. I actually have a service appointment at 8am tomorrow to have my issue looked at for the first time. I got my '24 Sport last October so I've had it exactly a year, but I JUST turned 4,800 miles. I've been working from home since covid but just started going...
  5. Driveshaft Recall Notice

Cool. Hopefully it doesn’t affect you. Meanwhile, I’m waiting to see if this is going to be expanded to 2024. I have an intermittent vibration at certain speeds on the highway that has been discussed in another thread that others have unrelated to wheel balancing, bad tire, alignment or...
  6. Driveshaft Recall Notice

The way I read it, this affects both Hybrid AND Non-Hybrid and it applies to both part time 4WD AND full time 4WD. The difference is full time 4WD has the added benefit of possibly moving even when the vehicle is in park in addition to the potential steering loss issue.
  7. does anyone find dirt in their tacomas dificult to wash?

+1 on the Turtle Wax ceramic spray. Stuff works great, easy to put on and smells pretty.
  8. Attempted Theft.

Your ass in a chair on the porch holding a shotgun? Kidding aside, I do believe he didn’t steal it because he realized it’s a manual. 99.9% of kids today don’t even know what that is so really I wouldn’t worry about them coming back for it.
  9. Rusting bolt. Is this a problem?

I noticed mine was exactly the same after about a month brand new and just assumed it’s normal surface rust and not a problem. It is a little shocking though when you see that on a truck with 300 miles but it’s fine.
  10. 24 Tacoma Fire

All I did was take it in to have the bsm software fix done and they had to take my whole dash apart because they effed it up….. I wonder if that would have anything to do with…..😬
  11. Toyota completed blind spot recall; Now Drive Start Control Malfunction.

OMG that’s awful. That’s my biggest fear. When they start doing stuff like that it’s never the same. And all this from a ā€œsimpleā€ software flash. Sorry to hear.
  12. Toyota completed blind spot recall; Now Drive Start Control Malfunction.

+1 exactly why I'm not taking mine for it anytime soon either. I also was just contacted by the dealership to take it in for my first ToyotaCare oil change and not doing that either. Looking forward to doing it myself this weekend. No disrespect to ALL techs, because I know there are...
  13. šŸŽ‰ Giveaway Alert! Latex Cargo Nets by Muslogy šŸŽ‰

I have latex tie towns and would love a latex cargo net to go along with them!
  14. TRD Cast Aluminum Running Boards - Anyone Installed Themselves?

Looks great! My truck didn’t come with anything so I didn’t have something to remove and compare with.
  15. TRD Cast Aluminum Running Boards - Anyone Installed Themselves?

I had the same exact issue with mine, all of the brackets were off and a bunch of the bolt holes didn’t line up. After thinking something was wrong and that I’d have to send these damn things back, I realized I was overthinking it way too hard. Simply loosen bolts holding the bracket to the...
  16. Camping on mountaintop in grizzly country - solo overlanding w/ dog companion

Yup......rub it in:like: Probably a little exaggerated but drives home my point!
  17. šŸŽ‰ GIVEAWAY TIME + NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH (Universal Cargo Net)! šŸŽ‰

I've been thinking about a net like this to use along with my tonneau. I HATE having to use ratchet straps on things that go above the bed height but really don't need that kind of securing, or when there's just too many things for the straps - like when taking cardboard & boxes to the...
  18. Who hauls 4x8 sheet goods?

So simple and cool. Leave it to someone here to already have come up with the perfect solution
  19. Who hauls 4x8 sheet goods?

That's what the milk crate is for in the second link. Seems to me that or something similar would work fine in conjunction with the two boards in the notches.
